Dramatic setting for this abbey (and its many outbuildings). The nicest part is the old Roman chapel, and the surroundings with great hiking trails throughout la Montagnette. Certainly worth a visit !

Tarascon is a wonderful area and this abbey is a fascinating part of the experience. The town as a whole is typically French, small and full of character. We went to a country wedding in one of the chateaus so much to take in, in addition to the Abbey.

It is a beautiful monastery in a lovely setting with lots of lovely walks in the area around it. It should be a must visit place.

We've stopped here a number of times. The small compound is quite beautiful but most appealing are the grounds. Follow the paths to wonderful photo opportunities and vistas.

Saw a small picture in our guidebook and thought we could make a quick detour to visit this abbey - what a good job we did! A truly stunning place! A quiet and peaceful place in the hillside. The interior of the church has the most amazing paintwork everywhere - a place to sit quietly for a while and stop... More

A little piece of paradise in the hills. Had never heard of this Abbey but certainly a place to explore.

This is an unchanged site for centuries in the middle of the typical provençal ''Montagnette'' (which means small mountain) amidst pine trees and olive trees. The authentic abbey of the order of Prémontrés can be visited and is a roman Catholic pilgrimmage center. A lovely decorated 19 century church, an extremely beautiful Romanic chapel, and large buildings can be visited.... More

Most beautiful church building. Denomination free. True peace and understanding. Would have like to have seen more information available but I settle for the serenity.

Kids were not impressed but the adults found it interesting enough. Check out the pamplets before you walk there.

This attraction, ranked 3 in the Tarascon area (actually it's closer to Graveson) is the same as St Michel de Frigolet (ranked no.2 in the Tarascon area. I've just done a review under the other heading. Either way it is a great place to visit -very peaceful and if you have the energy to walk in the grounds, there are... More
