We hiked the 3 mile trail at Valley View Glades in 35 degree weather with very strong winds. Despite the cold weather, the hike was gorgeous. I would call the trail more rugged than moderate, consisting of loose rocks, mud, tree roots and water. It will give one a workout with the ups/downs encountered on the trail. The stream that runs throughout the valley is beautiful as are the limestone beds in the waterfalls. The trail is well marked and we had no trouble following it. I used a hiking stick as there are several sharp descents and steep inclines that were slick with mud and/or wet spots. We had to detour off the trail several times to avoid particularly muddy spots. The terrain while rugged, also shows prairie like areas in the valley. Great hike; would do it again.

The view from the area around the parking lot is nonexistent, so don't expect to just pull over and see this. You'll have to hike. The trails have a lot of loose rock and are steep, so be careful.

This is a great place to hike. The trails are well marked and the scenery is spectacular. It's not to hilly but can can get a good workout.

This is a clean, and relaxing place to enjoy the outdoors. Perfect place to take an afternoon hike, no real place to camp over night.

From easy to moderate so the trail goes. Watch for slippery spots near the creek, along with mushrooms. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed. There are no bathrooms and no picnic tables.
