Shahi Qila is in immaculate state with most of the campus standing the test of time. The stones are in place, the Mosque, the Hamam and the Gates are all in good form. Though very few people visit this historic fort it has a parking lot nearby in a narrow lane. The place since less visited does not have any tourist guides.

Jaunpur is a small and dusty town near Varanasi so we were pleasantly surprised. This well maintained fort built by Firoz Shah Tuglaq has lot of green space around two main buildings - model of turkish baths and 130 ft long mosque. Nice view of Shahi Bridge on Gomati river.

in close proximity to Varanasi, this ancient fort narrates the history of that area belonging to premughal times. believed to be built by tughlaq rulers this huge fort lies besides mighty river "Gomti". peaceful calm surroundings and a maize inside popularly known as "bhulbhulaiya" is a star attractin there.

A historical place built by Firozshah tughlaq , its aesthetic importance is immense , it contains a mosque just opposite to the entrance gate and also contains a turqi hamam locally known as bhul bhulaiya , the view of city from the edges of the walls of the fort is just terrific.

Jaunpur' "As of Turkish bath. Find sample of Turkish Turkish style bath. Although not very well preserved know any information about is provided by the department. If you go with some locals, who know, they tell about the water flow, different channels etc.

This is in small town and charges 15rs entry and used mainly by walkers and joggers who solicit free space and lack of onlookers .. clean and green amidst old quila setting and gives a good backdrop for a view of the ghat and Ganges below ..
Hanuman ghat precisely ..it's nice in winters and straight space for a good run and jog and to unwind ...u can spot stray lovers soliciting peace and quiet too.
Nothing for tourists ..it is the only place for free walks ..also have passes for a year for regular walkers .
Makes sense to avoid riffraff

Hi,
I recently visited this place and it is very good to see this Fort. If you're in Varanasi or nearby areas, you must plan to see this.
The amazing thing is that the fort is on the river so one can see the gomti river flowing from the fort and sahi bridge as well.
Thanks,
Harsh
