My wife and I enjoyed a romantic jaunt around the city on a solo ride, but still learned a tremendous amount about the city of Hermann from Cindy. The genuine appreciation for the city and its heritage was unique to just another carriage ride. We love it!!

This was a great experience. The couple driving was extremely nice (unfortunately I remember the horses' names, not theirs). Sorry. It was nice to ride around the city and have to worry about the hustle of seeing everything in town. Knowledge of the towns past was excellent. The carriage is very comfortable. The horses are friendly (always ask permission before approaching animals). The pickup and drop off location is centrally located by the Amtrak and trolley areas at the Red Caboose. While waiting, try the brauts from the Mason tent. It was really an enjoyable relaxing ride. Book early as the space is limited. Will do this again.

Tom and Cindy are always warm, welcoming hosts. The horses and the carriage are beautiful. Cindy is knowledgeable of the area, history, wine industry and is a great story teller! Highly recommend them!

I was disappointed to hear from the driver, the owner of the company, that he had not been tested for COVID before conducting their service rides for the Octoberfest. I asked him after I heard him coughing into his arm. I feel that if a person knows that they will be in contact with the public, (I'm sure they were giving rides to many people that day, sitting directly in front of the carriage), that they should be ruling out any possible infectious disease that they could potentially be passing to others. Also, I didn't know that I would be sharing the ride with 2 other strangers, so again a bit uneasy about being seated less than necessary around others in a time of COVID.

We are sorry you felt uncomfortable on your carriage ride. The driver suffers from a chronic cough that starts as soon as the weather turns cold. He is screened every day at his regular job and we take our temperature before rides. I hope you found we were also wearing our masks. Since re-opening in June, carriage seating is limited to two couples and we offer private rides for couples as well as larger groups who choose to ride together. I will look for opportunities to make that option very clear on our reservation system. Again, we care deeply for the safety and well-being of our guests and will continue to practice mask-wearing and distancing on the carriage.

We went on a Haunted Herrmann ride on Halloween, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our guides were friendly, the horses & carriage were beautiful, and we happened to be out on a beautiful, clear night. There was one other couple on the ride which made it very comfortable for us (my husband is immuno-compromised so we are very careful with what we do). When the other couple saw we were wearing masks and keeping them on, they left theirs on also. (Thank you!) Our guides were welcoming and fun and very knowledgeable about Herrmann. Loved it!

We really enjoyed the tour. My husband enjoys all things having to do with history and I enjoyed learning a bit more about the settling of this area and learning about the homes in this town.
We took the tour during Oktoberfest and it was nice getting away from the crowds. The couple giving the tour and driving the carriage were very pleasant!!

While visiting Hermann, MO, we took the 20 minute ride around town. Very nice couple, and the tour was very informative. We enjoyed it so much, that we booked the 45 minute mansion tour for the next night. Definitely recommend doing at least one tour.

There is no better way to see the town and learn some history of Hermann. The horses and carriage were beautiful, the guides so personable and informative. Our first carriage ride and we really enjoyed it. If there is anything you want do while in Hermann, be sure this is included in your plans!

We have taken this ride before, but it is always a favorite with our group! The percheron horses are beautiful! We have taken the wagon and the carriage and they are both a great trip. Tom and Cindy are great hosts and always fun. Cindy is full of history and stories about the area. Definitely recommend this for any trip to wine country! We will do it again!
