Brookdale Farms is an excellent place for field trips. They have something fun for each season. We went during spring and our students loved every minute of it. We can't wait to come and visit them during the fall for their pumpkin season! The staff was wonderful to work with!

This place is a total rip off. You have to pay just enter even if you want to see if there are any activities that you may want to do. They claim it’s a pumpkin patch, however it’s just overpriced store bought pumpkins sitting in a field which they will nit even let you look at or touch.

Don’t waste your money! Absolutely terrible. They charge $9 to get in and then charge you for everything you do when you get in! Just a small patch of half rotten pumpkins.

Float trip on rafts was great, but felt shorter than the 3-4 miles. Not to worry because we just pulled off to the side and stopped. I have read the other reviews and don’t know what happened with those people. We arrived on a Saturday morning and people were there to sign us in. Got our stuff loaded on the bus, and a nice man drove us to the drop off point upriver. He was engaging while he told us what was going to happen and what the requirements were. Also told us how to find the end, and at the end there’s a really big red sign with white letters that says Brookdale exit, plus it’s at the intersection of the Big River (large creek) so it’s pretty easy to find. Raft was nice, follow up was good, too. What “customer service” do you need on a river float trip - they drive you to the drop off point, put you in a raft and off you go. We had a blast and you can’t beat the convenience of being basically in town for local STL people. Saturday in August at 10:30am and we only ever saw one other boat, so it wasn’t crowded, either. Also we had 5 people in a 6 person raft and there was plenty of room for three bags and two coolers. Will definitely go again.

Horrible. Sickly looking sloppy small sunflower patch. Pathetic. (Loaded with bumble bees just so you are aware.) LOOKS NOTHING LIKE FB IMAGE OR IMAGES ON WEBSITE. Those images appear to be fake. Trail is not safe. Owners too lazy to move cut stocks to side to make clear smooth dirt path. $5 person. Asked employee where the sunflowers where when pulled up. “I don’t know.” Only about 3 cars there and it’s peak season. Lots of dead flowers. THIS IS NOT A WORKING FARM.
