We love this place and go every time we are in Eminence Missouri. Yes, it's crowded on weekends but it's still a fun time. Bring a small grill and make lunch, crack open a beer, set up your chairs and have fun. Best part...it's free and refreshing on a hot day.

We always make time to stop at Rocky Falls when in Eminence. The scenery is beautifully unique. Nice place for a picnic and afternoon swim.

Time your visit. That is, if you are going to appreciate the scenic beauty with some thought to peaceful contemplation, skip it on a warm summer or weekend day, as it will be full of people, tubes, dogs, etc. My introduction to the falls at this shut-ins was a photo workshop several years ago, with no other group present. It... More

Our only problem with this one was the approximately 1/2 mile of gravel road to get into it since we were on motorcycles, However once we had turned off the main road and started in we didn't really have any way of turning back. So motorcyclists be careful. The scenery is gorgeous and we were all wishing we had swimsuits... More

It's a little off the beaten path, but worth the effort. When visiting the Ozarks National Scenic Riverways (Current River and Jacks Fork), don't miss Rocky Falls. In summer the swimmin' hole will be full of kids. Try it. You'll like it. After a rain, the falls will be a torrent. During a dry period, it will be just a... More

Just a quick drive from Eminence. A bit cold for swimming in April, but this is a beautiful spot. And the sound of the waterfall is so relaxing. Great place for a picnic.

Rocky Falls is a shut-ins, like its better-known competitor, Johnson Shut-ins. It has a larger drop in elevation than Johnson, but Johnson's waters that have carved the stone smooth pour into a 30 foot deep pool, from which rises a spectacular bluff. Rocky's pool at the foot of its shut-ins is a perfect swimming area just over head deep, and... More

If you're in the area and need a little Zen then a trip to Rocky Falls will certainly do it. Thanks to a new park superintendent the falls are in much better shape than ever before. Great place to let kids be kids.

This was a great way to end a very nice trip to the Eminence area.I had never been to this falls before.it's real pretty during fall. We got some great pictures and it's very relaxing and peaceful. Lots of climbing around and hiking, just a beautiful place off the beaten path. I thought and the rest of my gang thought... More

Our visit was early in the fall, with colors just beginning to change. Water flow was restricted to basically one channel, down one side of he rocks. However, it made climbing out on the rocks, around the water much easier. In the spring, when water volume is greater, it would cover a much larger area. You gotta believe this is... More
