This is an amazing place, and like one of the other reviews if you know your history, this is named devils elbow because back in the logging days, when the logs would flow down stream this was such a difficult part to control them, thus...More

Following directions was a little interesting. We expected to see something different. The road was not very wide. We had a small motorhome and when you got to the bridge it was like is this wide enough. The bridge to us was just ok. We...More

If you're driving or riding Route 66 then make sure you go over this bridge on an old alignment. The road is very ordinary but it's worth seeing to say you've done it.

Just okay. It isn't worth getting off i 44 to see it. We also got stuck in traffic there was a log Jam so we just had to wait to drive on.

We stopped at a scenic overlook on County Z (marked at Route 66 Bypass) which had incredible views of the old railroad bridge which was used to bring lumber into Fort Leonard Wood. Not sure if this is the same bridge that you can get...More

Part of Route 66 so it's historical and Devil's Elbow how cool of a name is that! It goes across the water and has a nice view. It will get you from one side to the other without getting your feet wet like most bridges...More

If you're on Route 66, this is a must see. What an effort was made to put a road through this place. The power of the river was in evidence when we came through and it was hard to imagine traveling this road in the...More

We have a 24 ft motorhome and drove across the bridge and to the end of the road. It's a little narrow in spots but we got through. Hopefully this is helpful.
