I love how unique it is. It describes not one aspect of the history of Missouri, but all. It is quite artistic!

The paintings on the wall itself were very good, but the informational kiosk scattered out along the walk gave a lot of very interesting history and background information related to the paintings. A couple of the kiosk were in need of repair, but all in all it was an interesting way to spend some time while in the area.

Hard to miss if you visit downtown Cape Girardeau. This is a very long sea wall that has been painted by local artist. You will walk along the east side on water street and read plaques that provide the history behind all the paintings. A must visit if you find yourself in Cape Girardeau, Mo. I-55 is only 1 mile... There is so much Art work that was put into "The Wall of Missouri's History". So cool to see all the people that have made it to fame, that all came from the state of Missouri. I'm not from Missouri so it had opened my eyes to all the people I have heard of, but never knew they came from... More

The Missouri Wall of Fame serves it's purpose well. It keeps the Mississippi River from flooding the downtown Cape Girardeau area. This is located in a really cool part of the city. There are various shops and restaurants to enjoy, along with the old buildings. (Many have been totally refurbished, while keeping their original designs intact). The flood wall has... More

So what do you do when you are trying to revitalize a riverfront downtown? A wall. The Cape is clearly trying to do something with a downtown that has seen better days..this wall is a part of it,

I truly enjoy walking along the river front and reading the history as depicted on the wall. I hope more will be added.

Its downtown, painted on the town side of the flood wall. Large, great condition murals inform you about local and state history. This would be a great activity for the infirm, as the murals can be enjoyed from a car in the parking lot next to the wall. Have dinner and take a stroll along the murals. Very nice attraction... If you're dining or shopping at any of the fabulous old town Cape Girardeau businesses, give yourself an extra 20 minutes to browes the wall and walk by the river (weather permitting, of course).

While much better than the truly abysmal murals that came before it (locally called as the "Wall of Shame") these murals are nothing special and barely earn my personal qualification of "art". The close proximity of train tracks, a street and parking lots make it difficult to appreciate the paintings at an appropriate distance and without obstruction. These murals (again... More
