We needed an overnight while on the road and stumbled upon this state park. Camped just one night but they had the nicest camp hosts i have ever met. The bathhouse was impeccably clean as was the whole campsite. I was on night 25 on the road with teens and it was the cleanest and best kept site we stayed... More

We took some students here for a field trip at the end of the school year & incorporated activities in the park as their final for the semester. Students were able to explore the park and apply physics, biology, meteorolgy, astronomy, so many things during our time here! There are many places to park and grill at shelters, camp sites,... Was taking a day trip with some of my motorcycle riding friends and decided to stop by this park - it is beautiful! Nice shelter house for a picnic, small lake for fishing, and very clean restrooms. The parking lot was asphalt which is good for motorcycles.

We have a lot of fun taking our 7 year old granddaughter to Wallace State Park. You are able to go on a nature walk all the way around the lake and then you can go off a small trail that leads over to a play area for the children. Easy access to the water so my husband could take... More

Just had the family in for Father's Day and it was great! Parking is plentiful as are cooking grills. Even the geese cooperated.

While traveling from Virginia to Colorado my adult son and I camped overnight at Wallace State Park. For credibility, I am a former Virginia State Parks campground contact ranger responsible for checking people in to sites. I was very impressed by the staff and facilities. The bathroom and showers were cleaner than some 5 star hotels. Free showers. The grounds... More

We traveled from MN to TX and this park was perfect for our first stop We had electrical hook up but no water since it was still cold and we were prepared for that. The camp sites are big and well spaced and we would go back again - especially in the warmer weather

I wasn't sure what to expect with this park, but it turned out to be excellent! The basic campgrounds are some of the best I've been too. The shower house is newer and clean, which you don't always get at campgrounds. There are miles of trails to walk and it's all beautiful. We stayed in October so it wasn't overly... More
