The show would probably had gotten an excellent rating but since we were in the balcony it was like watching someone else have all the fun. It doesn't appear there are speakers behind the balcony seats as all the sound was in front of us....More

Show recommendations for preteens/teens (8 Replies)
We have 5 children, 3 sons ages 17,16, 14 and 2 daughters ages 11 and 9. I have been really reading up on all of the shows in Branson, but it's kind of overwhelming. I am looking into the "family passes". The top 2 shows on TA don't seem to offer the family pass (Six and the Haygoods). Which shows would you recommend for kids of these ages? We are NOT country music fans, and would probably prefer shows with more variety than just singing. We have been to Pigeon Forge twice, and my kids have...More

I think your kids would enjoy either SIX or Haygoods...we've seen both! The Rankin Brothers would be another good choice. They do a wide variety of music from all 'time periods' genres! Their tickets can be purchased at Branson2for1tickets....not a timeshare. just a place where you buy 'vouchers', take the voucher to the theater and exchange it for your tickets.....they don't 'sell' all shows, but do have a good selection and I called earlier in the week and confirmed that they have RAnkin...More

We are coming to Branson August 1-5. Can I wait till I get to town to buy our show tickets? I already have our Silver Dollar City/White Water tickets. We hope to see: Monday - Titanic, SIX, Ghost Tours (Voices of Dead- 10:15) Tuesday - Silver Dollar City, White Water, Liverpool Legends Wednesday - Silver Dollar City (Lantern Tour) and shows/dance party Thursday - Forever Young, #1 Hits, Haygoods Friday - New Jersey Nights and Branson Landing (shopping) Thanks in advance for any...More

You would be ok in waiting till you get to Branson to purchase most of your tickets. You might need to book the Lantern cave tour early. The Hsygoods usually have 'full houses', so that might be one you should go ahead and buy your tickets. However if you would like to save some $$$$$$$, Haygoods tickets are available thru 2 for 1 tickets, but, you can't purchase the vouchers from 2 for 1 over phone or online---you have to buy them in person. But there is no gimmick at 2 for 1, they are not...More

Short trip w/relatives from New Jesersy in spring-what show? (5 Replies)
For budgetary reasons especially because I'll be paying for everyone, this is going to be a very short trip (two nights and one day), but FYI I have relatives from New Jersey who are going to be coming out to visit me in the spring who would like to go to Branson. My sister-in-law was in Branson with me once before, but that was about eight years ago. We back then stayed at a place on Table Rock Lake and I know she is going to want to see some pretty scenery beside just doing Branson...More

In regards to Dogwood Canyon, are you aware that it is expensive? There is an admission fee to the park plus a fee per activity. There are recent reviews here on TA in which people say they like the park but it is expensive. Depending on road construction and traffic, you will need to spend an hour or so each way driving to Dogwood Canyon. For an outdoor excursions you might want to check out Top of the Rock or Ride the Ducks. In terms of shows, I would select the Haygoods or SIX over...More
