On the east/south side of the dam across the river from the strip is a very nice center with lots of room for parking. Even space to stretch your legs. Worth stopping if you are in the area.

This is a cool stop when you're out by the table rock damn or headed to the Showboat or skatepark. Very nice facility with good local information and not to mention it's sitting on a great location right on the lake.

Lots of entertaining hands on displays about using dams to control flooding and the construction of Table Rock Dam. The gardens show examples of native flora. Dioramas of fish, birds and other wildlife. Dynamic view of Table Rock Lake.

Really great for kids and adults alike. Remember that it doesn't open until 10 o'clock. A little walk from the parking lot.

A very nice informative place to stop. It has great views of Table Rock Dam, up close from their balcony. There is a great paved path that you walk along the shore through wooded areas. Gentle sloping pathway is an easy walk or bicycle ride.

There are fun activities for kids to do inside. We also walked a little on the nature trial, which is paved and shaded. We spent about an hour there.

Table Rock Lake is all around Branson and this visitors center not only explains the dam construction but gives you a fuller insight of the area. I found it very interesting.

I love coming to Dewey Short. There are benches for sitting, tables for eating or studying, and you can even swim if you are okay with there being no life guard. I come here every chance I get because it is so peaceful
