- Thomas C3 contributionsVacation with my wifeOh my God these five guys sing song after song from the 50S 60S and you would think it is the Temptation them selves. Don’t let the small theater scare you. It is cozy and an outstanding venue.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 7, 2023
- Jackie R1 contributionGreat experience fun showSaw this show last night. We've see all the big shows in Branson this week and they were great. This was such a nice experience. Small theater in town great old fashion Motown show. No big lights and flames just great talented singers. Loved it!!!Visited June 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 27, 2024
- edavicPittsburgh, Pennsylvania67 contributionsFantastic Show! Loved It!The 5 guys presenting the show were really really good! Their voices individually were awesome. Together they harmonized perfectly. They sang mostly Temptations and some Four Tops, but also others. Each singer had a unique vocal quality and range that their performance sounded like the original. It was a very fun evening and a great walk down memory lane. True performers!Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 15, 2024

Butchered songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's ... beyond. Only go if you're really drunk, blind, or deaf. When you walk in to buy tickets they have some old, tired AA man sleeping/snoring/drooling in a chair in the lobby, dressed like grandpa moses in overalls. Then you get the crabby old lady receptionist and another old crabby woman (trying to look young but is really 100 years old) arguing with the receptionist and the sleeping grandpa in the corner of the lobby over $10. It was an expensive nightmare from beginning to end. Oh, and the Patsy Cline show wasn't a Patsy Cline show. DooWap... just don't. It might be cheaper than anyone else in town, but the shows are poor quality and the artists are WAY PAST their fresh date.

I would advise anyone to pass this show up because for the money you can see a much better show in a
beautiful theatre. The room we sat in looked more like an oversized garage and the décor probably
hasn't been changed for years! The old man taking up the money was rude over the phone too when I called to get info about the show. I love Motown music and was looking forward to the show but this was strictly karaoke! Tacky stage and curtain and very amateur show. I wish I had looked at the reviews ahead of time.

This is what you need to know before you go! You should go to this show BEFORE you've gone to any of the big production shows and you should go with a relaxed, open mind. I don't want to scare you off by any means but, to be honest, this is more like being at a big family get together and all the ones with talent were talked in to performing for everyone! That's the best way to describe this show. Incredibly unorganised staging! Some of the singers WERE very entertaining, however, and I was singing and clapping right along with them before the night was over. One guy ( to my boyfriend's delight) sounded EXACTLY like the older Johnny Cash! If you closed your eyes, you would swear it WAS him, even when he spoke to the audience ( which he did for waaaay longer than necessary)! Patsy Cline ( or the lady who plays her) even sang a song or two. Neither of these performers were Motown, notice, but I honestly believe they didn't have enough of the other performers there or something. They were both good though! Several of the performers were considerably older and you could tell that they were probably pretty good in their day because they could still entertain. The place where they have the show is small and intimate and it's clear that the majority of the crowd are friends OR the actual performers themselves ( the one sitting next to us left his seat, went back stage, donned his red satin suit, did his numbers, changed back in to his street clothes, and returned to his chair! Ha!)! You ARE "drawn in" though and my boyfriend and I both left smiling! Would I go back? Not for this price! I might give them another chance if tickets were closer to the $20 range. Maybe they were so disorganized, etc. because it was off season! That's possible! I like to think so!

Motown Downtown is a delicious treat for anyone who loves singing along with those unforgettable Motown hits of the sixties & seventies. The guys sang and danced their way into our hearts with amazing tribute performances of hits by the Temptations, Four Tops, Sam Cook, James Brown and more. The tiny "Hot Hits Theatre" can hardly contain the big sound coming from the stage, but you'll be glad you experienced this fun, energetic show. One critique, wish the show included female singers as well to cover hits by the Supremes, Aretha and other legendary ladies of that era. Still well worth it.

We loved every minute if it. The venue isn't as glitzy as what you might expect from your typical Branson show but don't let that stop you. Of all the shows I saw this was hands down the best. These guys gave it there all, they are true entertainers working in an intimate setting. I Grew up in Philly during the 50's and 60's so their show brought back some fond memories.

If you enjoy two hours of Karaoke, then this is the show for you. We went expecting to hear great hits from Motown with a complete band and hot horn section and what we got was taped music and people signing to it. In full fairness the performers were great, but the taped music sucked the life out of the show. It was very disappointing. We left at intermission.

The older white guy named Jerry who played the Sax was terrible and took away from the show. He was offensive with the language he used, the jokes he told and then to sing a "christian" song was almost more than we could stomach. He alone made us almost walk out of the show. It's sad, because the rest of the show is really good and we weren't the only ones as we heard several talking about it.

Theater is small, so you get up close and really get to interact with the performers. The music and singing was great. Brought back many memories of growing up in the 60’s & 70’s. If you like to sing along with your favorites, and dance in the aisle, this is where you need to go.

am going with my husband for my 60th birthday and i see there is open seating. will we have trouble getting seats together? can you have cocktails there? how far in a car are you from the savanaha house hotel
Written July 8, 2015
Wow !! You will really enjoy this birthday with great music from Motown !! Open seating but no problem sitting together and not a bad seat in the house. No cocktails but a nice refreshment center reasonably price more than typical places. Coffee, flavored coffees, popcorn, soft drinks, candy, ice cream are available. The theatre is down town , ample parking and lots to see in town so go early and enjoy the area. Could spend a day down town which is just couple of miles from strip, not far at all. Hope you enjoy, this was my favorite show and I love downtown area !!! Happy Birthday !!
