We drove by the entrance to the area in the early evening, but they were going to close so we didn't want to pay the $5 to get in. From the pictures, it didn't look like there was much shade - I'm not able to...More

It was very hot when we visited the beach. We didn't stay very long. I would suggest taking a beach umbrella or some sort of shade, especially if you have little ones like we did. It's a nice enough beach and a nice get away....More

My six year old had a blast playing in the water and trying to find treasures in the sand. She was thrilled when she found a few shells. The rocks in the water are brutal on bare feet though, so bring water shoes.

We found the beach to be very clean and accessible for us. The most interesting thing to see is the people that visit there. So people watching and observing was fun to do.

$5.00 per car entry to a very nice, clean and safe local beach. Many covered pavilions, restrooms; charcoal grills, sandy clean nice sized beach - a true picture of a small town America summer lake beach. Worth a visit for sure!!

I would not consider this a beach, but it's the closest thing you'll get to one, around here. Wear water shoes if you dont have tough feet, because even though there is some sand, it's mainly tiny rocks. We still had fun!

No reservations needed. It's like a State Park - just go to the guard shack and they charge per car. I forgot how much they charge per car but you should be able to google it. Just make sure you bring lots of sunscreen... More
