I can't tell you enough about how you have to see this show. 'Jesus' is a spectacular production, like mind blowingly spectacular. The set design and staging is exquisite and so vividly detailed that you simply sometimes can't believe what you are seeing. It is highly entertaining and moving. The complexity of how they do some of the scenes is breathtaking. Everyone knows the story but its told in such a high quality way with singing, dancing, music and highly talented actors, sound effects, live animals.....IT RAINS ONSTAGE....like real rain, actors flying off the stage, excellent lighting, sound effects, the whole package. If you've ever been in a play ever at any level you will appreciate just how incredible difficult it is to pull off this performance with all the elements involved. It is probably one of the most expensive shows in Branson and it is worth every single penny. It is so powerful and moving and its all about the message. There's no curtain call and no list of actor names/accomplishments....because its all about the message. And that message is delivered in the best, most moving way that you simply must find a way to see this show no matter what. I promise you will not be disappointed.

We attended the 3:30 pm showing of this fabulous telling of Jesus' history altering story yesterday (4/7/2022). Blending the Biblical narratives of Jesus life on Earth, this is a thrilling production and we highly recommend it for believer and unbeliever alike. The immense stage with massive moving set pieces takes us on the Sea of Galilee, and through the countryside to Jerusalem and the Jewish Temple, Gethsemane, and ultimately Golgotha. The seemless blend of impressive technology and sound, staging, people, and even live animals, draws us into this marvelous ancient culture and land. The ambitious production manages to do two equally difficult things at the same time; it pulls off grand scale while creating intimate connection with the audience throughout. All of this leads to an exciting, engaging, and enduring image of Jesus of the Bible. It ultimately leads us to the most important question we all must answer: who is Jesus?

Every time I come to Branson the Sight and Sound is the highlight of my trip! I actually would drive the 12 hours one way just to see the production every year. Yes, it is THAT good! I notice some people have touched on the parking and I want to chime in on that and say this was the FIRST time I have had to wait to park and it was because it was Labor Day weekend. Please don't let the parking issue scare you away, it is typically not an issue at all. The building is so beautiful and worth spending some time admiring the outside as well as inside. Very easy to buy and print tickets. Concession stands are typical and pricey but really the show is only a couple hours so water is all that is needed and I was able to take in my own. They don't make you stop at entry to take your picture and then try to sell it to you later like most places in Branson do. I appreciate that! The production is just top notch. Very professional acting, the aisles are used during the performance for the animals and actors to come down so sitting on the aisle on the main floor is pretty neat. You actually feel like you are part of the production. The Gospel is presented at the end and people are around to pray with if needed. They remain true to their purpose year after year. I can hardly wait for the next production to come out! This is THE MUST DO while in Branson!

We concur with the reviews below. We saw "Jesus" at the theater in November 2021 and it was amazing. Tickets were $60 a piece, and it was well worth it.

The 2,060-seat theater is amazing, and the "stage" wraps around much of the theater. Only bad thing was our seats were close to one side so we had to strain to see the actors above and behind us.

The cast of about 40 was very talented and featured incredible singers. The sets are Disney quality and include 6 computer controlled scenes that float in and out of the stage. A typical Broadway show features 1 or 2 computer controlled sets, for comparison. The huge, 300 foot-wide video backdrop is beautiful.

Don't let your kids play in the aisles or they'll get run over by the herd of horses, camels, sheep, goats and pigs that run in and out of the theater.

If you ever saw the Atlanta Passion Play, you will be disappointed only by the lack of great songs in the production. But everything else is a Disney version of the APP on steroids.

The show does take some creative license with the Bible account, but nothing is problematic in our opinion. They flesh out conversations that may have occurred to make an interesting story. And this is a theatrical production, not a Bible reading.

You won't be disappointed. This is a must-see in Branson.

Bransonshows.com

This is a travesty! I’m a widow on limited income. While I was ordering tickets from the Sight and Sound Theater, I was redirected to this website. Why would anyone pay a premium (over $135) for vouchers to a show? Shame on me for completing the transaction when I didn’t see a seat map to reserve seats for a specific performance. I’m very disappointed the theater has a contract with Bransonshows.com. Inflated ticket prices by 33% then a 35% cancellation fee when I found out my mistake.

If I wanted a timeshare sales pitch, I would call Wyndham and schedule an appointment.
I’m appalled I’m forced to pay $153 cancellation fee when the event I’m attending is 6 weeks. Great job taking advantage of a widowed senior citizen.

As the name implies, the play is about the ministry of Jesus Christ. It was extremely well done and contains all the elements of a fine stage show.....acting, dialog, singing, action, animals, and education. For Christians who know their Bible, the presentation is highly uplifting. But to provide transparency and clarity, the production takes a little "literary license" by filling in some minor historical gaps in the time-line of Christ's life and is not completely chronologically correct. However, all the scenes are consistent with the Bible. This was certainly worth the cost, time, & effort spent in attending the show and I would highly recommend it.

As soon as we walked into the theater, I knew our experience would be good. There was no shortage of wonderful staff giving directions and greeting the guests as if they were excited we were there. There were a ton of people, but the staff were so helpful getting everyone seated on the correct areas and even offered to get my kids a booster seat so they could see the stage better (we were on the ground floor close to the front). The theater itself is a sight to see and when the play began, it was an exciting panoramic set. I have never seen a stage play of this caliber of awesomeness. The sets and special effects were incredible. The animals were so well trained and really added to the drama. We really loved all the activity down the isle and since we were sitting in isle seats, we got an up-close look at all the actors. That was so exciting for my kids. I was nervous at the intermission because there were probably 65 ladies and girls lined up for the bathroom. A man outside told us not to worry and that we would be through the line in 5 minutes. I had my doubts but he was right! There was a staff lady inside the bathroom directing traffic very strategically and sure enough, we were out in 5 minutes! It seems a lot of thought goes into handling large crowds with patience and upbeat attitudes. As for the message of the play, if anyone had questions about the life of Jesus before the play, they were certainly answered by the end. I also loved that there was no curtain call. Curtain calls glorify the actors and clearly that was not the goal. The play was only meant to glorify God. What a wonderful message.

Went and watched story of Jesus. The acting, stage sets, etc. brought tears to my eyes. We were completely blown away. I would recommend sitting toward the top for the best view. I would also recommend bringing ear plugs as some of the scenes and singing were too loud. My 6 year old loved the show. The live animals, men on horseback, etc was a favorite. We will definitely be back next time we come to Branson.

We sat on the back row (handicap area) but that was OK since this theatre is so huge and the sets are in front and on the sides. Actually, it probably is better to have seats in the back and not in the front. Also, unlike everywhere else, there's no picture-taking during the performance, so be aware of that (I wasn't). The performance was wonderful. I especially was moved by some of the miracle scenes and the Last Supper scene. The Theatre itself and the grounds around it are magnificent. The staff working are excellent. Overall this was a very good experience. FYI...they do have a family restroom for the handicap but you have to ask for it so they'll open it up.
