A highlight of the Silver Dollar City theme park, this constantly evolving wet limestone cave under the Ozark Mountains, dating back to the 1500s, provides a one-hour tour of fascinating rooms and passageways. The cave's entryway is the largest in the U.S.

Great tour. They try and scare you out of going by telling you how difficult the walk is. But it is done at a slow pace and not exceptionally challenging. There were people from age 3 to 83 on our tour.

We went on the normal tour (the lantern one does cost additional) and really had a great time. I have arthritis and sometimes stairs and hills can be an issue but I was able to survive the entire trip; though my legs were really shaking...More

A highlight of Silver $ City. One hour strenuous walking tour to view many wonders of the cave. Very knowledgeable and professional staff to guide you through. Train at the end to take you back up is a relief! Fun time.

This cave was awesome. You have to be in very good shape to tour it though. You go down, down, down. There were 700 stairs going down and up. So beautiful down there. Worth the exercise.

Not really that much different than other caves but need to be in good shape because of all the stairs and some crapped spaces.

Marvel Cave has been attracting the curious and adventurous for well over a century. Even after all the bat guano had been mined, people just couldn't stay away from the place. It was so popular in the 50's that the Herschend family started building attractions...More

It was a lot of stairs and ducking, but worth the hour long trip. the tour guide was funny and when all the lights were turned off it was completely dark.

I'm sorry, but I don't know. They have a Lantern Light Tour that can start as early as 4:30pm (depending on when the park close, sometimes it's 5:30), so they might stop the regular tours before that particular one starts... More

If you mean accessible for those with limited mobility, unfortunately not. You must be able to go up and down fairly steep steps, through narrow spaces, around formations, etc. We held onto railings most of the time during... More

You can actually get into the cave for free. The cave is not owned by SDC. It is owned by Lake of the Ozarks college. You can do some paperwork and get in for free only the cave not the theme park.
