About
Branson's Famous Baldknobbers, featuring the Mabe family, is a country music and comedy variety show in Branson, Missouri performing at the new Branson Famous Theatre. The Mabe family began the Branson family entertainment phenomenon 62 years ago in 1959. Today, the family continues to wow audiences as the second and third generations add their own flare to the family legacy. Their perfect blend of country music, gospel music and comedy will keep you at the edge of your seat and roaring with laughter all night long. The family has been recognized on a national platform as well. In 2011, the Mabe brothers original costumes, instruments and artifacts were added to the permanent collection of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. The family has also appeared in multiple television programs, most recently starring in their own reality television series, "Branson Famous". The singing was very good, as was the band. Each cast member had showcased talents. The comedy was the highlight of the show, but too limited. The salute to veterans was nice. When it was all over, my wife and I talked about how funny the comedy was and wished there had been more. Thinking back on the show, the audience only got real involved during the comedy, but never got on its feet until the curtains closed. Our relatives told us that it wasn’t the same humorous show they had seen several years earlier.

Thank you for the feedback. We really appreciate it! We did recently introduce a "vintage" show on Thursdays, which is meant to pay homage to those good old days of the Baldknobbers. We hope your friends might like to give that a look on their (and your) next visit!

The Baldknobbers Music Show is great entertainment, as the musicians and singers rock the stage with country western music, comedy, and gospel music. Hargis as the comedian is incredibly funny, especially as the bumbling Biden. The musicians and singers work together to complement each other, but there were surprises around each corner of the show. Grant Moody, on the guitar, runs concentrated riffs and wild solos. Veterans were honored during the show and there were patriotic songs as well. Costumes were very nice.

the two ladies who were singers were very good when you could hear them. the only time you could hear them was when the band was not playing. there is a serious problem when the band drown out the singers. we attended several shows this week and this was the only one where the band was too loud. maybe a sound control problem. comedian was pretty good also. would never go back unless something in the sound system changed!

My family has been coming to see Baldknobbers for many years and made it a practice to see the show. Myself and friends came this time and very disappointed. Music was so overpowering we couldn't hear any of the words being sang. We had bragged about the comedy of the show with Droopy and Stub but they are no longer there. Entire show was Brandon and his wife with only two other men. Why no more girls? Nothing at all like it used to be. Shows were always filled but not this time for sure which says something. I had heard on Branson news Brandon fired his Dad, Droopy Drawers. No family there anymore but his wife. Why fix something that isn't broken? On a positive note the Pastor that sang the gospel song was one of the best singers I have ever heard. We will probably not return. Went to 5 Shows this week that were much better and more enjoyable.

Disappointed. Would not recommend. Excessive use of flashing lights and stage fog so you could hardly see the band at times. Music was way too loud and couldn't understand the words. Also they sold large bubble light ups that were very distracting when you had a child waving it in your view. The only song we enjoyed was Dan Keetons gospel song. Beautifully sang. We left at intermission and will not be back.

I came to Branson as a 17 year old on a school trip. My favorite part of Branson was the Baldknobbers. It was hilarious and beautiful. Such a treat. They made such an impact on me that my husband and i came back for out honeymoon 16 years ago. It was absolutely a must see then.
We visited them again March 07, 2022. It was horrible!
Mike Ito (violinist) was no longer there. The new fiddler is good but cannot hold a candle to Mike.
The comedy was lacking everything funny and the performers acted like they "had" to be there.

The interaction between the comedian and Brandon was stiff and not pleasant.

This group of Baldknobbers has ruined the entire show.

I wouldnt go back if the tickets were free!

We change things up a little over the years, in order to keep the content fresh. We realize that is not going to be what longtime fans remember, so we're sorry you didn't have the best experience.

What a great time! Our family saw the show a couple of weeks ago and everyone from 65 down to teenagers and the youngest (6 years-old) loved it! From the incredibly talented performers, to the gorgeous costumes, to the fantastic music, you will not be disappointed! Those of us that have even been to the Grand Old Opry said the Baldknobbers beat them “hands-down”. For a great evening full of hospitality, a down-home family atmosphere, and a ton of old and new favorites.......don’t miss the Baldknobbers!

This show is fine for anyone who is nearly deaf!!! The comedy is good, but the musicians greatly mistake loudness for ability. If you aren't deaf before you hear the band, you will be if you listen to this show very long. It's extremely difficult to understand the words being sung. What is the point in listening if you can't understand the words? Does the band know what accompaniment means? It's not a good idea to outdo the singers!!
Bands are supposed to ACCOMPANY!! Actually as I try to endure this show, I'm convinced that the sound person has to be deaf.

Review is for the theater and assigning wrong seats. We bought 4 tickets at Branson.com, in person, for the Reza show on 7-5-2020@8pm. Reza show was terrific. We showed up at the theater with the voucher to get our tickets and seat assignments. We were assigned row 21 seats 1-4. Usher used the tickets to direct us to our seats. Minutes later another usher came by to see our tickets and said everything was fine. Then another man came who appeared to be in management and again asked to see our tickets. He asked us to stand, leave our seats, and walk to the rear of the theater. He said the tickets were for next Thursday and blamed Branson.com for the error. My email confirmation and the ticket voucher from Branson.com all said July 5, 2020 @8pm. My seat ticket from the theater said the same. The manager took my voucher and seat ticket, left, and returned with new seat tickets for row 23 in the back corner of the theater. He escorted us to our new seats saying Branson.com gets it wrong a lot. We will visit Branson.com tomorrow to advise them.

We were not at all happy with how we were treated and the theater will not own up to its mistake. The four of us were quite embarrassed by our treatment at the hands of the theater staff and have vowed not to return to this theater. Again, our beef is with the theater and not with the Reza show, which was excellent.

We were pleasantly surprised at the new Baldknobbers Show. We had attended the old Baldknobbers Show on HWY 76 several times in the past. We were getting disappointed in the show and stopped attending. We heard that the show was more energetic with updated songs and material. We were pleasantly surprised. Brandon and Megan have done a very good job at presenting talented performers with new material and music that entertained us all night long. There were times when the music was louder than the singing. This can be corrected by the soundman.
