On the way back from Khunjerab Pass China/ Pakistan, Border, I was meant to stay at Gulmit Village. But our driver persuaded us to stay at Passu. Decision was easy, because we never make advance bookings on this trip. Our decision to stay at Passu was a great idea.

We were lucky to find a good hotel. Each side of the Karakorum Highway. surrounded by the towering mountain, If you are lucky, you may cite the Mountain Ibex, Wild Sheep. These citing are common.

The place is surreal, it has fresh air, beautiful scenery, tranquil setting, just the right place to give yourself a break.

The serrated peaks of Passu are very alluring. Passu is a peaceful valley surrounded by these magnificent mountains and with the river flowing through it. Glaciers and their rivers run across. Great place to walk, trek or hike. Just serene!

Passu Cones are few pointed peaks in the Karakoram Range that are located East of KKH in Passu / Husseini village areas. The peculiar pointed shape of the numerous peaks located on a single massif and their visibility from most areas in Gulkin, Gulmit, Hussein and Passu areas make them famous.
I haven't known many people who have climbed the various peaks in Passu Cones. Climbing the peaks will be a serious effort that would require proper planning. Some of them are really steap and might involve a technical climb.

The first time I saw the Passu cones from the Hussaini bridge was the time I fully took in the majesty and the splendor of Hunza's landscapes. What a beauty!

Passu cones are easily visible from many locations around Passu. You get some great ones on the hikes to Borit Glacier, to the Passu suspension bridge, as well as when beginning the trek up the left side of the Passu Glacier.
