Excellent gardens. (In mid-April) the Daffodil Orchard is, quite literally, jaw-dropping, the topiary impressive and the nodding Fritillary Lilies under the trees charming. The nursery is professional, with high quality plats at fair prices. The cafe is pleasant, but inefficient and the Lemon & Blueberry cake should be avoided.

Felley Priory is a real local treasure and I can’t believe it has taken me so long to get around to visiting. I first visited in spring 2021, when the woods were a vast sea of bluebells. The gardens were packed with interesting and often unusual varieties of plants, making a return visit in July a must to fully appreciate the planting in the borders. Although the gardens are relatively small compared to other country house gardens, there are also meadows and the large pond area to explore too and so much to see. The beautiful gardens are very well maintained by the small team of gardeners. Good quality plants from Felley are available to buy at a very reasonable price in the well-stocked nursery. There is a tearoom too – we have only stayed for coffee but the food looked good. I will return again in the autumn and really wish that there was a ‘Friends of Felley’ type annual ticket available – I’m sure they would sell well and encourage repeat visits.

Excellent visit to these beautiful gardens.
The boring bits they cost £5 (seniors) & £6 (adults) entry, unless you are a member of the RHS when they are free on Tuesday & Wednesday. They are open Tuesday to Friday plus some Sundays. Best to check the website for exact dates.
This was our first visit this year and the gardens are a lovely as ever. They have a white garden, rose and agapanthus garden, (absolutely stunning today), lots of topiary, lovely borders packed with a huge range of plants (many in bloom). A lovely lake with plants in and around it. All in it’s a great place to see a huge assortment of plants growing many of which are on sale in the attached nursery.
In addition there is a tea room with tables inside and out serving a large range of drinks, snacks and lunches. It get busy so book ahead to be sure of a table.

Visited here for the second time, the first being a couple of years ago. The garden seem to be getting better.
There are superb borders, a lovely pond and topiary. All is well tended and there is ample to see.
The tea rooms are good and throughout they have considered and done things differently to make all safe from Covid. An example is that you have to leave your contact details in the tea and the cakes are individual rather than slices.
The garden centre is a must and I defy you to come away without buying something. They have a large range of plants all looking in good condition and reasonably priced.
All in all an excellent garden to visit.

This was very easy to find. The old priory looks amazing but it’s not open to the public. You enter the car park by a self opening gate. Plenty of room to park but it was very busy the day I went. I paid to walk around, sadly there was no concession available. The grounds are very nice and quaint. The topiary was very nice. There was also a plant sale, the prices were average and there are some greenhouses you can enter. The cafe was heaving, there were no seats available so I didn’t have anything. A friend told me afterwards that it’s a very popular place with local people and it’s best to book ahead.

Lovely well kept gardens with a good display and variety of flowers and trees.
The rose garden was in full bloom and was stunning. Lovely scent.
Didnt try the cafe but it looked nice and there were tables in a shaded area which was good as it was a very hot day.
Small nursery area selling plants which seemed reasonably priced compared with garden centres.
Wish it was my garden.
Lovely countryside views.
Very enjoyable day.

Not much to say apart from the gardens are superb and well worth a visit. There is an entrance fee but parking is free as is access to the tea room. There is also a nursery where they have a wide range of plants, some uncommon, at very reasonable prices.

It was very busy for a Tuesday afternoon. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, but, once seated, our order was completed quickly and the food was quite good. With the advantages of a nice setting with plenty of outdoor seating, and pleasant and attentive staff, this place will continue to do well.

A beautiful garden with great planting schemes and some great vistas. Excellently kept including great topiary. The gardeners were friendly and helpful. There is also a good sized nursery selling plants at reasonable prices and an excellent cafe. Well worth a visit.

Took mom for an afternoon out. Most impressed with all the staff and volunteers. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Beautiful garden but some slopes and gravel paths difficult with mom in wheelchair. Gardens/Groundsmen offered assistance and helped mom to access more of the garden.
Lovely tearoom with good menu and afternoon tea. Again staff very helpful. The food was good and nicely presented. Nursery selling plants. The lovely lady in the nursery helped me into one of greenhouses with mom when rain started. Then helped me back to the car with mom and carried our purchases over in boxes while I helped mom into car. A lovely day out. All the way home mom kept saying how friendly everyone was.
Garden difficult with wheelchair but well worth seeing. Even if you just do top 2 terraces.
Great place to buy some different and more unusual plants
