The Prieuré de Serrabone is well worth the windy drive up to it from Ille -sur-Têt (about 30 mins). The interior of the priory has several interesting features and often an exhibition of some kind. Outside there is lovely herb garden, pathways and gorgeous views...More

The setting on the hilltop is very picturesque for the priory. You have to drive up a windy road of switchbacks to get there. Ample parking. Entrance fee of a couple of euros. The carvings in the priory are very beautiful. There are toilets 🚽...More

It's a very narrow, winding road to get there but worth it. A simple Roman priory (one down from an Abbey apparently) it is now a simple stone building that consists mainly of the church. It is quite austere from the outside but good example...More

Famous year 1000, Roman Abbey, up in the mountains. Chiseled pillars and famous "tribune" are worth the trip

It's not a big place, but it's still worth the trip. A nice calm atmosphere. The ideal place for meditation or a nice slow picnic with friends or Family.

A long and smal road takes you up in the mountains, further and further away from society. Besides the beauty of the place we also enjoyed the silence and seclusion of the place.

Well worth the long and twisty drive up into the mountains - the priory itself is unexpected and beautiful - the gardens are a delight.
