This place was the worst. The lady stamped my card and forgot she did so she gave me a hard time and wanted to reassure I wasn’t lying. That was very very frustrated. Not to mention I don’t think they’re used to seeing many people of colored skin. Got a lot of a lot of staring as we walked up. That once again was very frustrated. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Bias Winery and Brewery

We had a beautiful country drive to this winery. We were greeted by our host & owner Chet, his 2 wonderfully polite young grandsons, and Hops and Barley, the 2 farm Manx cats, who were extremely friendly. I was interested in the wine and hubby was interested in the beer. We shared our tastings and enjoyed hearing Chet descriptions. I ordered a glass of their Norton red wine and hubby ordered a Bella’s Big Belgian, which is a dark Belgian. We took a seat on the lovely shaded patio and enjoyed our drinks and a nice afternoon. We got a couple of bottles of the Norton, which is MO’s official grape, a growler of the Belgian, and a growler of the Cream ale. I wanted a growler of the stout, but Chet didn’t have enough to fill. He was so nice and treated me to the bottom of the keg!

We fell in love with Bias just by the beautiful drive that took us through the Missouri Valley. We truly loved this place and the River Mist Red wine was one that I wished we would have purchased more of; my husband did try the beer but since they do not bottle it we couldn't take it with us. The staff at Bias was very welcoming and knowledgeable, we enjoyed our short time at Bias and will definitely be coming back and bringing friends!

My husband and I went with several other couples and it was horrible. It was about 45 degrees outside and it was warmer outside than in the winery. The wine was not good. There was a bad smell (stagnant smoke, dead mouse.....I'm not sure). Would not recommend, especially with so many other nice wineries around.

This winery produces a wonderful and varied line of wines. The vineyard is located on a beautiful piece of property with a small pond and picnic table. Great place for a quiet lunch.

We came to Bias on a rainy Saturday afternoon during Oktoberfest. When we walked in we were thankful that the place was empty so that we could get a big table by the fire for our group. We headed to the counter to do some wine tasting and were greeted by a terribly rude woman who acted as if we were inconveniencing her by trying to purchase wine and food from her. The wine tasting was NOT free. $1 per taste or 6 tastings for $5. The women behind the counter did not provide any description or knowledge of what we were tasting or looking for. She asked what we wanted based on a list, we picked one, she poured it, and then she walked away. Everyone in our group picked a number of wines to taste and we were all shocked. The wine was TERRIBLE. Something was off with it. People used the words spicy and vinegar. It wasn't just a matter of not liking certain varieties of wine. It didn't taste like wine should taste....

The food menu was very limited but we ordered a few pizzas. They were essentially thin crust frozen pizzas, but they did come out hot and melty which was fine with out group. We mostly stuck to can beer after the wine tasting.

At one point someone asked the rude woman if they had wifi, and her response was "I don't know what that is so I guess not" in an incredibly snooty tone.

I am not sure how this winery is still in business. I am the furthest thing from a wine snob, so that wasn't the issue. This was simply terrible customer service and terrible wine. Don't waste your time driving out here.

I arrived at Bias Vineyard like any normal day. There was a 2 MPH wind to the east, and the sun was shining.
The tasting room smelled of brown testicals and it was as cold as my mother's heart. I do believe it was below freezing in there. Never going back unless its to burn the place to the ground.

This winery was one of 7 wineries to try on the chocolate wine trial we did. This was my least favorite. It's quiet a ways from town. We joked about it being a trailer. Well...that's what it ended up looking like. The overall appearance wasn't inviting. We go in for the wine pairing and pass by what I assume is a bar area. The two men standing behind the bar was not welcoming at all. For this being a romantic Valentines event all the locations but this one made it feel romantic. The desert they chose was beyond rich. Four of us in our party couldn't finish it. I couldn't finish the little bit of wine they gave us. We had no desire to sample other wines they had to offer. We were just ready to head off to the next location. They do have a really great photo opt with the grass, old truck, gas pump & building in the background. This was the only thing we enjoyed about this winery. We wouldn't drive out that direction again. Especially with all the other great places in town.

I am a wine drinker so I can't say anything about the beer, but the wine is not very good. We went to 6 wineries and this had the worst wine of all.

Will I go back? Doubtful. We decided to try this because it has a micro brewery in addition to the winery. I did not find anything special about this visit. The tasting was not particularly informational and there was a charge to try the beers. The wines and beers were okay. I have had better at other places. I was disappointed that the only beer options was to purchase a growler. I do not like growlers because even though I love bear I don't drink it fast enough before it goes flat. This is several miles outside of Hermann and a bit hard to find. I would only recommend this if you are looking for a scenic drive.
