We went here while staying with family In Melbourne. Took a picnic and the kids loved playing around. Lots to see and do and a nice walk over the bridge above the yarra river.

This is a good little playground. It's right next to the Yarra river, has a dog friendly park, and is fenced off so the kids are always safe. There's a free barbecue out the back, which is clean and tidy and oft in high demand.

As a grandparent I can recommend Wombat bend park as a great play area for young children. It is safe and has lots of car parking. There is also a lead free park near by for dog lovers.

It has a great variety of equipment for children of all ages. It is all in an enclosed area so no little kids can run off. Love the maze!
