Interesting, funky joint.

Mezo doesn't own it any more. Friendly fun staff, good selection of beer, regulars are very friendly and made me feel at home. Enormous potential not realized because of a... read more

Still the same dirty restaurant /bar in a killer location run by some of the most incompetent people ever. Food is still reheated frozen crap. Although the menu is a lot smaller it still is gross. Apparently they do crawfish now. But why take a chance getting sick with most likely old mud bugs.

This is a good place for music, hang out , have a beer or cocktail, and enjoy time with friends. Food was ok, but atmosphere was fun. Have a place (sofas ) just to lounge, and sit back.

Mezo doesn't own it any more. Friendly fun staff, good selection of beer, regulars are very friendly and made me feel at home. Enormous potential not realized because of a) municipal interference or b) owner's indifference. Different opinions of regulars. Despite other reviews no rats though a few squirrels running around outside. a good place to go for a beer... More

Now Mississippi Juke Joint, I LOVED this place. Ambiance here is something you have to experience yourself; the grounds are super cool. Large stage in the back, local artists' work along the walkway fence, and historical OLD trees (as in HUUUGE). The staff is super warm and friendly, the food is great. Go on the crawfish nights, you will NOT... More

It's now called mississippi juke joint. Don't let the new name Fool you. It's still the same Nast place only now that got rid of their old crappy menu & replaced it with mcClures BBQ. Now the original mcClures in Nola is probably one of the 25 best BBQ places in the us. That being said the BBQ here is... More

We went here with friends to take advantage ow their advertised two for one happy hour special from 5 to 7 p.m. We got there at 5:30 and were pretty much the only ones there. When we asked when did things get going the bartender said "about 10 tonight". Oh, well, OK, we just had our two drinks each and... More
