Its about 4.2 miles round trip from the welcome center to Hwy 90 and back. Great tree-line and water views. However, car traffic can be a bit challenging.

We enjoyed Gulf Island National Seashore. They have a large visitor center with a informative movie and a gift shop. We stayed at the adjacent campground, Davis Bayou. The are was really nice and close to Ocean Springs was a really cute town, very artsy!!

Stayed at the Davis Bayou campground. Great campground. Lots of space. Quiet and peaceful. Water and electric only at the sites but a easy dump station. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Will stay here next time we come to town.

Quiet retreat. Very clean facilities. Extremely knowledgeable and attentive personnel. Great to be by the water, hike the trail, and spend time together without a crowd. Love how very natural the area remains.

Beautiful setting and trails. A must stop while in the area. Gator pond is always fun to stop by and if your lucky you will see the big gator sunning on the shore.

This is our second time visiting. There is a lot of construction going on. But, wasn't in the way so don't let that be your first impression. The trip advisor photo doesn't reflect this facility. It's not the island. This is the Davis bayou area...More

We went here as we were leaving Biloxi. We've seen the signs for it many times and have wanted to go, but there wasn't much here at all. The folks at the visitor center were nice and the restrooms were clean. The trails were small...More

The pics for this location that show a beach are actually Florida. Both have a National Seashore area. However, if you go the beach with your dog anywhere between Biloxi and Golfport, you won't be disappointed. Same... More

Camping is very pleasant. Water and electric only? Minutes from restaurants, shipping and casinos. Highly recommend.
