About
The Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum exists to tell –and preserve– the stories of Mississippi's greatest athletes and coaches, without question some of the world's greatest athletes and coaches. Question: What other state can boast the leading scorer and receiver in NFL history (Jerry Rice), the leading passer in NFL history (Brett Favre), the second leading rusher (Walter Payton) and the patriarch of the first family of football (Archie Manning)? Answer: Only Mississippi. And those guys are just for starters. Mississippi male and female athletes have excelled on national and international levels, winning Olympic gold, Super Bowl MVP trophies, World Series games and NBA championships. Our museum tells those stories, and many more, including being home to the largest Dizzy Dean collection. Stop by soon and see for yourself!

I can't say enough great things about the MS Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. The facility is fun and exciting for all ages! There is so much history to explore...many of which I would have never known without visiting it. Of all the interactive activities they offer, I have to say pretending to be a sports announcer is my favorite! The staff and volunteers are so helpful and friendly! I highly recommend this facility as THE museum to visit when traveling to the Jackson, MS area!

I stopped in here with local friends and enjoyed the exhibition. It was in a very nice building and the exhibits and interpretation was very well done. I didn't know that MS has such a stellar history of athletics, although I should have. I was surprised that the Mannings were not in the Hall of Fame but I was told that they would have to wait until they have finished playing in their professional career

My group got there when they opened and there was no one at the front desk to let us in and all the lights were off in the back. After looking around we finally found someone who let us in and there wasn't much to do, but there was a life size video game playing sports games that we ended up really enjoying.

After years of always saying one day I'm going to stop by here, my wife and I decided to stop by. We were not disappointed. Even for a life long sports fan such as myself, there were things that I learned. If you have a couple of hours to kill then I would recommend stopping by.

Reserved for those whose lives are consumed with non-literate activities. Shrines to lives that hopefully experienced something other than ego.

The displays at this museum are awesome. I've been there several times and there's always something new. They've done a nice job with interactive exhibits. The amount of Mississippi history you get is great too. Don't leave Jackson without stopping here. Check their website for special events.

This place isn't bad- I just had myself all pumped up looking at the building from the outside, then was a little underwhelmed when we went in. Nothing bad happened here. There is certainly an emphasis on MS athletes- which one would expect. Decent collection, just not as good as I had hoped.
