Everyone was so friendly from the security guard to the tour guide Steve. An amazing building with a lot of history. Pulled right up to get parking. The interior was wonderful

It was late when we arrived, but we enjoyed driving around the capitol building. It's very impressive. We come from the capitol city of Missouri.

The Capital building is a great place to see, it's full of art and people all day. I'm in the building at least 5-10 a month. However when I first visited it. It was breath taking because I had never seen anything like it. Since it's a building were laws are made in Mississippi. A great time to go would... More

This building I'd definitely worth a visit. There is plenty of parking in High St. Good photos can be taken from all sides and tours are held weekdays. We arrived on a Sunday so I can't comment on the tour.

We arrived on Sunday so we could not go on a tour but have to say this is a very beautiful building, one of the best we have seen during our tour of the US.

Whenever my husband and I travel and we're in a state capitol, we visit the capitol building. Since I've visited several other state capitols, but not my own, we set aside a day to visit and tour several downtown attractions in Jackson. The building is beautiful and our tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Jackson has had many ups and downs as a state, and this museum does a wonderful job showing the history of the city through this building. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff add so much to this museum.....and. ..it's free! I personally enjoined the sections that show the refurbishing and preservation of this massive building. If you are in the area,... More

I love visiting state capitals and our visit to the Mississippi capital last month did not disappoint. We arrived shortly before closing and were a bit hesitant to go inside, but the security guards and other working in the building couldn't have been any nicer. The building and the grounds are beautiful and we very much enjoyed our self-guided tour.... More

We were on a tight travel schedule the day we visited so even though we were there before a tour time we chose to do a self guided tour instead. The tour guides were very friendly and helpful in getting us the proper information sheets and even gave us a brief intro before sending us on our way. Since nothing... More

Visited the Capitol around 7pm. This area very tranquil. Saw a few people walking this area for exercise. Great access to take pictures up close. Can take pictures of each side of building with ease. Downtown seemed very peaceful and quiet.
