Stately building ----- ----- We were on our way to New Orleans and Florida for the time between Christmas to New Years. We decided to stop in Jackson, to see the State Capitol and walk around. It was around 8pm, in winter, so dark, but nice, and also safe. We parked right next to the building, got out and walked around the South side... it’s a nice building - with golden Federal eagle on the top, flying in landing (or taking off?) north to south; round globe lights at four corners on top of roof. Dome. Nice, stately. We captured a few good family photos. The grounds are nice and surely look even better in daylight. Thank you, State of Mississippi!!!…

While we were in Jackson we walked around the State Capitol and it is a grand building! There were one group of people taking some engagement pics and another group taking graduation pics; a lovely place for both with the Magnolia trees blooming and the grandeur of the building. The bell and bronze statue's are amazing.…
