They have all the different tanks from several wars, helicopters, plains and cannons. Once you go into the building it self it is a wonderful Museum of different weapons and tells about some of the Medal of Honor winners from that area.

Awesome. We really enjoyed it and it was fun to visit with my family. It really blew me away as I was not expecting very much. A must see for those in the area.

I have been a few times to the Armed Forces Museum. It continues to grow. They have worked very hard on making it first class. I really thought the video of the Mississippi casualties from the wars was very moving. I like the interaction with many of the displays.

Second Only to The World War Museum in New Orleans. That a museum of this caliber is in the Hattiesburg, MS area is a little unbelievable! It is actually at Camp Shelby, about 10 miles south of H'brug. Currently a National Guard Training Facility, however during WWI and WWII, and every war since, active duty soldiers have trained at Camp... More

We were going to drive through Hattiesburg tomorrow and stop at the museum - the reviews sounded great. I went to their website and was glad I did. They closed for remodeling on Feb. 8th and won't open until sometime in March. Check the website for exact dates.

This is an amazing museum that is quite unexpected in rural Mississippi. Anyone traveling or living in this area owe it to themselves to make a stop and visit this awesome display dedicated to all branches of the military through many different battles. I will go back often. It is much larger than it appears and has an amazing amount... More

Half of the museum was closed due to renovations so we hoped it would still be good. It was wonderful. Huge collections of fire arms, real life settings and even tanks and helicopters. My son is a history major and he even saw things he had never seen. This is a gem and should not be missed!

I think it is important that everyone views this kind of display. We found it both sobering, enlightening and meaningful.
