The Hattiesburg Arts Council hosts gallery exhibits throughout the year in the Hattiesburg Cultural Center, which is owned and operated by the city. Other cultural events are held in this space, which was the original Public Library. The large windows and high ceilings of this historic building offer wonderful views artworks. …

Anyone interested in seeing local art will benefit from a visit to the HAC Gallery ~ especially if the visit is time to coincide with one of the many art openings scheduled throughout the year! Best place in town to speak with local artists about their displayed works.

The Arts Council depends on "buzz" and does a great job of getting the word out. The gallery, unfortunately, is in a multi-use building so its display hours are inconsistent, but usually posted on the organization's website at www.hattiesburgartscouncil.org. Organization also provide displays at City Hall and WDAM studios. Events are held on roughly a month-by-month basis.…
