So the zoo is small but... The admission is cheap, the staff friendly, the train adorable, the bathrooms clean, the kids activities interesting, and the gift shop okay. As I didn't go there for the gift shop, it gets five stars.

Fun for the kids and very affordable. Enjoyed the tiger exhibit and there were great restaurants nearby

We took our grandsons, ages 6 and 3 and we all enjoyed it. It only takes about an hour, but if you add in the ropes course it will take longer. Our grandsons each did a ropes course, one high and one low, and had a fun time.

My family and I enjoyed ourselves here! Was a great experience and the kids loved the ninja course thing. Was a decent price and a fun place to spend our day!

My grandaughter wanted to go on the new 4 story attraction, so we visited the Zoo for her 8th birthday. It's a GR8 local venue for the $5 entry and $2 for the train ride. The new Black Jaguar won''t be there until Dec 1, but we did see the alligator nursery with 14 new babies and a nice selection... More

I really enjoyed this zoo! I have been coming to Hattiesburg for years and this zoo was always an afterthought. It was more than what I expected for a small zoo. I also liked that most the animals were different from what you would normally see at a zoo. The kids also really enjoyed the park area. I will definitely... More

This is a small zoo, but the folks working there are very nice. They do a lot of demonstrations and feedings. The workers seem genuinely interested in you learning about the animals. They all seem to know the names and histories of each of the animals. Additionally, there are many activities for the kids (splash pad, climbing venue, panning for... More

While we went in hopes to see the leopard, it was still in quarantine. We were pleasantly surprised by the animals there though. There's a sloth named Mo, but as sloths go, he slept the whole time we were there. The lemurs, huge tortoise and other animals make it worth the visit. A ropes course looks fun for kids of... More
