Was a great experience

My family and I enjoyed ourselves here! Was a great experience and the kids loved the ninja course thing. Was a decent price and a fun place to spend our day!

My grandaughter wanted to go on the new 4 story attraction, so we visited the Zoo for her 8th birthday. It's a GR8 local venue for the $5 entry and $2 for the train ride. The new Black Jaguar won''t be there until Dec 1, but we did see the alligator nursery with 14 new babies and a nice selection... More

I really enjoyed this zoo! I have been coming to Hattiesburg for years and this zoo was always an afterthought. It was more than what I expected for a small zoo. I also liked that most the animals were different from what you would normally see at a zoo. The kids also really enjoyed the park area. I will definitely... More

This is a small zoo, but the folks working there are very nice. They do a lot of demonstrations and feedings. The workers seem genuinely interested in you learning about the animals. They all seem to know the names and histories of each of the animals. Additionally, there are many activities for the kids (splash pad, climbing venue, panning for... More

While we went in hopes to see the leopard, it was still in quarantine. We were pleasantly surprised by the animals there though. There's a sloth named Mo, but as sloths go, he slept the whole time we were there. The lemurs, huge tortoise and other animals make it worth the visit. A ropes course looks fun for kids of... More

Don't let the small town fool ya. This place is top notch. Scenic and beautiful displays. Very clean and great staff that works hard to make everything look great. Even has food and drinks. Seating areas. And shade!!!

Stopped as a "stretch our legs " on a long drive. Great Zoo... up close to the animals and differnt animals then the bigger zoos. Kids got a treat on the ropes course. It was great. Glad we stopped for a little bit

This was an exceptionally fun visit to the zoo as we were toured behind the scenes and then led to the sloths where we were able to interact and hold one! This was my favorite zoo trip by far from any zoo I have been to because of the interaction. Of course we had to reserve the experience before hand,... More

My wife and I visited the Jackson, Miss Zoo and then the Hattiesburg Zoo. We were very impressed by how inexpensive the Hattiesburg Zoo was (only $5) and what a great value it was for those $5. We had a great time at the Hattiesburg Zoo. Everything is setup in a manner that makes it convenient and doesn't exhaust you.... More

The Hattiesburg zoo does a good job with natural displays and educational information about the animals. The zookeepers are always eager to share information. The animals receive good medical care, and the zoo is in contact with many larger zoos which assist in providing new animals. A Ropes Course has just been added so teenager and millennials can have a... More
