This was our first visit. I brought 2 teens and a 7 yr old & 2 yr old, everyone enjoyed themselves. The admission price is only $5 for everyone over 2 & $2 extra to ride the train. The zoo is very small but well maintained. They have a nice splash pad near the concession area. There are shaded areas... More

The Hattiesburg Zoo is one of the areas best kept secrets. They are always working on adding and improving the grounds and have done a remarkable job. They also have a splash pad for those hot days. This zoo is the perfect size to tour with kids. We have done larger zoos like Nashville, Audubon, etc. However, those trips are... More

We took our two year old granddaughter to the zoo for her first time. What a delightful experience. Even though a small zoo, it packs a big punch. Perfect for small children. I think it only covers 10 acres so you don't wear yourself out walking forever. We went on one of the hottest days of the year. There is... More

I went with my grandson's class to the zoo. It was well kept & had a lot of exhibits for us to see. The train ride was fun & the playground and picnic area were all well maintained.

I live an hour from the zoo and haven't been there in at least ten years and was very impressed with all the improvements. From the animal enclosures to more shade trees/vegetation to nice bathrooms to fans and spray to keep cool...everything was great and more is being built. The Bug Hub playground is really cute with an artificial grass... More

We are in town for the weekend and we're trying to find fun activities to do with our 4 year old. This is just the place to go! The zoo is not as big as the city zoo we are from (kc) but it was just the right size for a really hot day. It was nice and clean, the... More

While visiting from UK took our grandson for the morning and it is a very nice small zoo with animals that are well cared for.

Took the family here for a day of fun. The park is small, but well built. There's a train that takes riders around the park to see many outer edges of the exhibits. Unfortunately the track experienced damage recently and the train was only able to take half the route.Repairs were under way while we were there. They have a... More
