Great experience with friends!

We've been twice and thoroughly enjoyed it! Going with friends is fun, and you also meet new friends. I pick up new skills to take home and try.

My daughter and I took a class as part of a weekend package offered by the Alluvian Hotel. WE had a blast! The girl conducting the class was very informative and allowed everybody in each group to participate--we even broke out the wine (only after all of the chopping and dicing had been completed lol). Met some great people and... More

My wife and I attended the Greenwood, Mississippi Viking school Saturday night. We have been planning on going for years and just never found the time. The only downside to the school was the 5 1/2 hour drive to get there, besides that, we had a great time. We attended the 'Elegant Summer Dinner Party' school. We learned several new... More

We had an excellent time at the argentine steakhouse class. The whole hands on kitchen experience is great. Normally, they break the class up into groups of 4-5 to share cooking responsibilities. If you don't mind meeting new people and cooking with them its no problem. If you do mind....bring a group of four!. My wife and I had an... More

My husband & I took three different cooking classes and what fun we had! The cooking staff was very informative and friendly and the food we created was delicious. We met many people of all ages in our three classes. I would highly recommend making the trip down to Greenwood to give it a try.

We went to the Italian class, A Taste of Italy, on a Saturday night. It was entertaining, delicious, and very instructive. We enjoyed ourselves completely! They served two wines and some appetizers, and we dined on our own cooking. Chris was our instructor and he was very capable and friendly. We would definitely do it again.

We had the best time and the food was wonderful - we prepared the recipes from the movie/book The Help - fried chicken, greens, Mac n cheese, biscuits, cornbread, and chocolate pie! Don't worry, there are lots of different types of classes. I have taken many cooking classes and this was the best. These are the reasons - the place... More

I went with a friend, and had I known we would be cooking in groups of 4, I would have brought 2 more friends. I don't really like the idea of cooking and eating food that strangers have prepared. Other than that, it was a good time! The food was more bland than I liked. However, the experience was great...especially... More

My three sisters and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day at the Viking Cooking School in Greenwood, MS. Our class consisted of the four of us, six ladies from Tennessee, and a couple from Little Rock, AR. MaryLee, our instructor was gracious and patient. The day was filled with laughter as we practiced our knife skills and learned new techniques.... More
