There are 2 Grammy Museums in America one in Los Angles and the other in Cleveland, Ms. I love music and had high expectations but boy was I disappointed. It was a decent price for the self guided tour but I was not offered a senior discount and later found out they do have one. if you want to see what clothes the artist wore at a certain performance this it he place for you; If you care to see anything else this is not the place for you. It was like a huge fashion show. I found really nothing of interest. We could have left in 30 minutes but I tried to make it a little longer. For reasons not explained to me Tony Joe White was the featured artist in the gift shop. His CD's were for sale for $25.00. I know that is nowhere near the Amazon price. Save your money there is really nothing to see here. It is a beautiful building that cost some enormous amount but there is no creativity in what to put in it.

Oh boy! Prepare to be amazed.
Our teenage sons walked out of there better humans. I’m telling you. Talk about a hands-on museum. There are rooms where you can learn how to actually create a song as a music producer. Add electric bass here, add organ there. Just incredible.

Very nicely done museum. I spent over two hours here and went through in detail. The videos are amazing, and I watched the entirety of every last one of them. There were also Grammy outfits, musical instruments and more. The clear highlight is the Highway 61 exhibit, incredible.
I am giving 5 stars even though some improvements are possible. The microphones for the collaborative songwriting booths did not work. Many of the demo instruments did not work and none had any instructions. Finally, I personally would prefer not to see videos of Ike Turner and think he should get only a passing mention due to his domestic assaults.

Excellent visit - worth the time to get here. We attended a business reception and had the opportunity to tour the facility as well. Excellent exhibits, interactive 'band', and MTV 40th Anniversary exhibit - all very well done.

This was a surprisingly good museum of music through the years. Famous musician outfits, a full band set up that you can try the instruments, mini recording studios, 35 minute video (fun to guess the singers) of past grammy performers/collaborations, and other interactive exhibits. That MTV 40th anniversary exhibit brought back memories of my teen years.
We spent two hours there and could have spent more time.

Not a bad place, but felt that the museum was more about the Grammy's themselves instead of the music behind them. Made it through in less than an hour, but if you do some of the interactive things, it could take longer. The $12/per was quite steep in my opinion.
And what is the issue with taking photos? I didn't quite get one staff member's explanation that it would somehow "diminish the integrity of the display" while another one said it was a copyright issue. Are these millionaire artists really worried that someone takes a photo of a photo in a museum?? C'mon...
There was a large traveling display of Taylor Swift until August sometime, so if you're not a fan, visit this place later in the year as it takes up a lot of space. Just my two cents...

Moving around from state to state, I've been to several museums. As a music lover this is a must see museum. It has everything, and very interactive exhibits for everyone. If you're in the area, definitely check it out.

While in Clarksdale we decided to drive 30 minutes to Cleveland, MS. to visit the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi and it was well worth the short drive. There are actually two GRAMMY Museums, one in Los Angeles and this one in Cleveland. This is a quality museum that covers the history of music as well as current music. It provides a cultural perspective to music and the role of Mississippi musicians and singers and how they influenced and are influencing today's music. The multimedia presentations & interactive exhibits are fabulous. I really did not expect to find a museum of this caliber in Cleveland, MS.

If you love music they start out with Grammy Highlights about 30 minutes then lots of clothing, gowns, Michael Jackson jackets from Thriller and a moderate size circular place with Michael Jackson Music Videos. Instruments, and many more exhibits one new one was John Lee Hooker with clothes and articles. Very informative, beautiful facility

This is a very new addition to attractions in Mississippi. And, may likely be the best of them all!!! This museum provides a musical history and draws attention to those in the music industry with roots in MS. There is currently a temporary exhibit on The Beatles, running through mid-June.
