Thus is the real deal. The others - we’ve been there too - are all good in their own way. But if you want to see blues the way you see it in the Museum- all you need to do is come to Red’s.

This is one of the few remaining juke joints anywhere! We heard Lucious Spiller and felt like we had witnessed a legend for a meager $10 cover (and if that feels like a lot, please know it is worth every penny in this music-laden city.

You can just feel the blues oozing from the walls of this place. It is where the blues are meant to be played. You never know who will stop by to see Red himself behind the bar. I only wish we had spent more time...More

As an international visitor, it is such a long way to go but once here, the effort is worth it; so real, so authentic, nothing like it anywhere. The music feels so much better in such an atmosphere.
