Fantastic coastal walk with stunning views
We came here over the Easter weekend - the weather was not fantastic, but after a long drive we needed somewhere to stretch our legs. We are National Trust members, and so had this one on our list. We parked down in the lower car park (free to NT members), and took the walk along the cliffs up towards the lighthouse. The views were fantastic, and the kids loved it. One thing to mention is that there are some steep drops off the cliffs, and parts of the cliff are eroded, so those with children on the trail should exercise caution.

Stunning & beautiful with the amazing seal cove
We visited and parked in the national trust car park, where toilets are available before you start your coastal walk. We followed the paths throughout, and thought we was lucky enough to see some seals swimming around at one point, but as we continued our walk we found the seal cove viewing area and we watched about 40 seals on the cove floor, with many being pups, it was breathtaking. We walked the long coastal walk but a pathway is direct from the car park. Stunning and beautiful are the words used to describe seal cove.

    Great location
Really enjoyed our visits to Godrevy. The parking in the National Trust car parks is excellent, we opted for the first one as it was closer to more beaches and cafes. The walk upto Godrevy point from the car park is easy & lovely, seeing seals on the beaches along the way and then heading back we went on to Gwithian beaches which were stunning.

    Godrevy Point November Visit
Went for a visit after Uncle Bert left. Fantastic views and a nice easy to moderate hour circular walk. Two car parks. Out of season you have a better chance on getting a slot where the 2nd off-road parking has a sea-view from the car. Otherwise, park the car at the main entrance car park and start your walk from there. Excellent layout of paths so you don't miss anything. Recommend.

We’re NT members and a friend recommended this place for us to come to knowing we had a young family.

Free parking in a field, glorious views and walks, places to eat and bogus waves. My 10 and 7 year old have discovered body boarding and this beach have som awesome waves.

As the tide went out it unveiled rock pools as well as super sand to do a bit of building on. We even built a paddling pool!

Plenty of room to social distance.

Will definitely return

We parked in the National Trust car park (Chargeable, but free for NT members - Toilets on site). We walked along the headland and the beach - spectacular views across the bay and the heathland. Need good walking shoes and all weather clothing to tackle the walks, but absolutely well worth the effort. The breeze off the water was brisk, but we were fortunate to see sunshine, only the odd few drops of rain. Wonderful place to visit - to view the Godrevy Lighthouse, enjoy the thunder of waves against rock and Natural World beauty at its best. Thank goodness for the National Trust that preserves these wonderful places for all to enjoy.

Late august family visit on a scorching day and the beaches were pristine. Toilets readily available. Beautiful location and huge expansive beaches with additional coves and smaller beaches.

We have missed out on this place on previous visits to St Ives area, so a "hidden gem" for us. There are 3 NT car park son approach to the Godrevy lighthouse, with lots of passing places for busy periods.
The beaches are highly rated.
We enjoyed a decent length walk to the north and then south of the lighthouse, on a clear sunny wild and windy afternoon in early May.
A highlight was a viewing point so we could see around 20 seals basking on the stony beach below, with seals going in and out of the water.
Magical

We went to this beach while staying in a caravan park near the beach. We had fun body boarding, swimming and surfing for hours. You do need to be there quite early to get a parking place near the beach there is field parking but if you have boards ro carry it is quite far. One of us did get stung by a weever fish but we have been to this beach so many times and it has only happened this once. So dont worry about it to much. All round a beautiful beach that I could recommend to all of the families on the area.

Godrevy is a fantastic way to spend a few hours walking around admiring the fabulous scenery out to sea. Lots of walkers and lots of dogs. The lighthouse on the nearby island is another great viewpoint. If you're lucky you may spot a few seals. There are plenty of facilities on site including a few car parks, toilets and a cafe.

We parked at the national trust as it’s free if you are a member. Top car park. A great place as you have the choice of the beach for surfing, cliff tops for walking and a lighthouse and a seal colony. Excellent place and so very interesting. You can walk to Hells mouth cafe from here along the cliff top which is an easy walk. Toilets here as well . Lovely views. Keep dogs on a lead and be sensible when passing people in 2020 , stay safe xx

I might be local but this is our go to place to chill and walk, stunning views. NT car park and clean toilet.
Ice cream van great flavours Cornish of course.
Lovely beach or walk along the coastal path, lovely wild flowers, yes it does get busy especially when the weather is good but the views and walking will put a smile on your face you can end up walking for miles and don’t forget the lighthouse.
Drive carefully on the long narrow windy road to the top car park.
Bottom car park gets packed quickly mainly with surfers, there’s a great cafe there, park at the top and walk down to the cafe.

Easy to get to on bus from St Ives. Great walk, amazing beaches, birds and seals along the way. Walking the cliff top way is not too taxing either and to Hell's mouth and back from the NT carpark area only took a few hours with lots of stops for pictures.

We hadn't planned to visit here but came across it on our drive home. There are 2 large car parks but they were very busy - the volunteers were doing a good job helping people to park. Being National Trust members, parking was free. A friendly, helpful young man directed us to the circular walk to see the lighthouse. The scenery off the coast of Cornwall is stunning and the view across to the lighthouse was no exception. It was a shame we didn't have more time to explore the area.
