Wanted to take daughter and family but didn't know of a 'limited entrance' so we could not go. Daughter was here was here from out of town (Columbia Missouri). We could only get into the GIFT SHOP (obviously), so everyone had to walk around the outside. Could not find any reference to any limited entry.

We visited the National Eagle Center while in Wabasha for an eagle watching getaway weekend. The staff is knowledgeable and the displays are fun and educational.

What a gem! This is a beautiful and comprehensive center. There are exhibits about not only eagles, but the local biomes, wildlife, and the interactions between humans and wildlife. There is an exhibit about the eagle and its place as a symbol in our society. There is also an exhibit in which you can observe live birds that are residents of the center due to injury. Everything is so well done, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Be sure to get out on the observation deck and the walk along the river. There are limited hours/days due to COVID-19. Be sure to check their website before visiting. You currently only get an hour per visit. I found it hard to see all that I wanted in just an hour. I plan to return again soon for another visit.

You're correct: due to COVID, we are currently offering 1.5 hour long sessions for our visitors to come and get the full eagle experience. This includes private, small-group sessions with the eagle ambassadors up close! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we are so excited for your next visit!

We've wanted to stop here for quite some time. Finally made it... when it was closed for the whole Covid business. There were lots of displays in the windows that were quite interesting, and I'm sure there's much more to see inside. It was a gorgeous fall day, and we enjoyed the walk along the river anyway. We actually did watch an eagle, sitting on a branch out over the water. Beautiful surroundings; interesting place... if you like eagles. If not, it probably wouldn't be worth the entrance fee. Hopefully we'll get back some time.
