We took the Golden Eagle Field Trip and learned so much from both the guides and the other people on the bus. Despite less than perfect conditions we spotted plenty of Eagles, Hawks, Turkeys and a Coyote. Other than running a touch long(there ended up being no time to tour the center itself...get there early and do that first!), it... More

Lovely day for a drive! Since we were road tripping and watching for eagles, made Wabasha our destination! The building is beautiful, exhibits educational. Learned a bit more on how to identify many of the winter hawks in our area during winter.

Takes visitors from China to get you to do things close to home! Neat to see the eagles up close and learn more about them, in addition to getting maps showing places to see the eagles in the wild. Just going improved our eye for seeing birds and nests on the way home. Chinese students thought it was cool, and... More

I enjoyed my visit to the National Eagle Center. Great program with a great speaker when I was there. Get to see real live eagles up close. They have excursions to see eagles in the wild; I will likely return to experience that

A friend invited us to go to an Open House at the National Eagle Center in Wabasha. I am so glad we went. The sculptures made you think the owl, eagle or otter is alive as they are so real. My favorite was of the mother and child otter next to a kingfisher. If you can, bring your children and... More

Live eagles on display with knowledgeable staff to share info, background on physical characteristics and story of eagle symbols in our history...just an absolutely amazing stop and a bit of "God Bless America" spirit along the way.

We arrived just in time to see the eagle presentation and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We came in January and although we didn't see any eagles in the wild we got to see the 4 eagles they had on display. The admission price is reasonable $8 for adults. We will return on our next visit.

Jeff K, Wonderful - we're so happy that you had a great visit to Wabasha and the National Eagle Center! Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative for viewing wild eagles, but it sounds like you made the most of your visit spending some time with the ambassadors, catching a classroom program and checking out all of our interactive exhibits! Thanks... More

Everyone that comes to visit me in my relatively sleepy little home in Lake City gets a trip to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha. The work this wildlife conservation team of professionals are doing to preserve and grow the Eagle population through exhibits and education is beyond compare. This is a wonderful place to learn about Eagles. There are live Eagles on site. Many events are planned during the year in celebration of the Eagle.

This center provides a wonderful opportunity to see eagles up close. Be sure to go to one of the educational talks; the information is given so both the young and the adults learn. Bring a camera for great pics of the eagles and views of the eagles around the Mississippi River.
