What a nice place to spend a couple of hours. We had a very educational speaker and given ample opportunity to ask questions. The center is right on the water and children are even allowed to fish as part of their admission. The fish are then fed to the eagles. What a great idea.

We learned so much about the different types of Eagles and got to see their very excellent program. They had a display that showed how large the nest actually was and so much more. It was so worth our time.

So, yeah, seeing these amazing birds fairly up close was pretty cool. And knowing that there are places like these as sanctuaries is reassuring. The building is spectacular and the museum aspect of this site is interesting and has some good hands on stuff to keep the kids entertained while learning. The Program was adequate and they worked hard to... More

It was a very unique exhibit of live eagles. They all have been rescued and rehabilitated from their injuries, so they're unable to live outside of the center. We missed the last presentation with Bucky, but other naturalists spoke with us and answered our questions outside the room. Very informative . . . we learned a lot about this regal... More

I was very impressed with this place. The fact that you can get up close and personal with a bald eagle was amazing. Bucky was our presenter in the informational class that they had and was very knowledgeable and funny. I would definitely recommend all ages going to visit this sanctuary it's in a beautiful location right on the Mississippi... More

National Eagle Center is a nice little center in Wabasha. We originally arrived at the town to just see it following the Grumpy Old Men movies but then having found the Eagle Center we really enjoyed looking round and getting up close and personal to the eagles. It is one thing to see these bird in flight but to learn... More

We learned a lot about eagles during Bucky's interactive and informative talk. Of course the highlight of the show was seeing one of the Eagles eat a piece of fish. We want to go back at a time when there are more Eagles in the wild so there's more to see through the windows that look out over the river.... More

We visited the National Eagle Center as part of our kayak tour with Broken Paddle. Our boys learned so much about eagles and developed an appreciation for them and those that work with them as did my husband and I. Our older two sons liked that there was free fishing right outside the center and that the fish that were... More

I am a member here and like to bring the kids up regularly. The seminars are great and the staff really cares about what they are doing. My kids love seeing the eagles in the viewing area and we loved the demo where they fed the bird. Really cool place in a great location.

We stopped by for a couple hours and enjoyed the storybook presentation about eagles, wildlife, and wildlife preservation. Kids were really enjoying everything since it's pretty hands-on. The gift shop had a lot of stuff including a tee shirt purchased for a grandson, and the theater upstairs gave a little history behind the Mdewakantan Indians who from this area. Neat... More
