Wine lovers can then indulge in tasting a glass of their favourite wines in the tasting room or on the large outdoor terrace located in a recently restored Tuscan country house opposite the cellar. Visits and wine tastings are available upon reservation in Italian,English and Japanese. Brunello di Montalcino is one of the most iconic wines in Italy. Therefore we appreciated the chance to visit the Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona winery and test their excellent wines directly in home environment. We stop in this winery during our tour of Montalcino and Montepulciano wine regions. Definitely it was a very good choice. As we visited the winery slightly... More

Even though we visited in the "slow" month of November we still felt that this place was warm and alive. The staff were welcoming and their English was good and conversational. The tour was educational with the right amount of detail We happened to be there on a day where they were receiving a new (huge) barrel, so we met... More

Friendly, knowledgeable staff with a nice atmosphere. Of course the wines were enjoyable and the views fantastic. Although we arrived without a booking they were very pleasant and helpful in providing a tasting. A little challenging to get to but well worth the effort. We purchased and shipped several bottles. This was my first experience shipping wines from Italy so... More

I read about the smoothness and taste of Brunello di Montalcino wines in Under the Tuscan Sun. Then we had a chance to taste for ourselves in our recent trip to Tuscany. We were not disappointed in this winery or its wines. A fascinating family story as well. Although I did not order any to be shipped I bought two... More

We stopped here on a whim late in the day without a reservation. Luckily for us it was not busy at the time and the staff was very welcoming and immediately seated us for a tasting. Our host, Allesandra, was very knowledgeable and engaging. This combined with their excellent wines made for a memorable time. I will have a hard... More

Picturesque setting and grounds, wonderful wine and gracious hosts. If you are from the US, better to find a US based distributor of their wines as they are not set up to handle the VAT refund process for individual consumers.
