Beautiful beach (a little tricky to walk on so be careful), but totally worth the stop! We were there on a windy day & the waves & sounds were amazing! We parked in the lower lot & took that route, which was a challenge to navigate, but my teenage boys love that sort of thing.

We didn't hike the trails but stopped to go down to the lake. Nice beach (though rocky - but that was part of the fun, rocks are so interesting), clear water, great views.

The trail was tricky for find at first. When entering, use the parking lot to your left and not the boat launch lot on the right. The trail is off the left hand side of the upper parking lot. You don’t have to go very far to reach the beach. It was fun skipping rocks into the
