About
Imagine the rush of 350 gallons of water pouring out of a giant bucket over a small roof and onto your head. You have just experienced the first element of the Wild Adventure Island. Featuring 4 waterslides, hydro fountains, a cargo climbing net, water cannons & bubblers. The Wild Adventure Island is nestled within the calm confines of the 800 foot serpentine Lazy River. In addition to the Wild Adventure Island we have several other water rides; a Hydro Tube. The Black Hole, a speed slide. Big Country Inner Tube Ride, 9 slides into tubs all the way to the bottom. The Super Chute, an open flume ride. On the dry side, we have Go-Karts for adults & children. Ride the chairlift to the top of the mountain to enjoy one of the two Alpine Slides on your way back down the hill. Or give the FreefallXP a chance. Jump from the 8' or the 18' platform on to a big pillow. No charge for parking and you can bring your own picnic, although food service is available.

We did the all day water pass.. it was ok. My daughter thought this was the greatest. She is not the biggest fan of scary waterslides. Only 4 slides and the lazy river (we obviously didn’t use the kiddie pool thing).
The lifeguards have their hands full- they seemed really short staffed. Not like that will deter you from visiting. I would just monitor you kiddos on the blue slide. I even went under and it could have been scary. It can get backed up.
The lazy river is brown.. just a heads up. I was surprised by that. I am used to a blue colored lazy river when it is next to a pool.
It was all worth the price of admission. We will go back again. Come dressed in your suits. Bathrooms are to be desired!

Nice variety of hills. Well maintained. Food inside was good. Chair lifts seemed sturdy and grounds were well kept. If you order online - you can save some money on a downhill ski lift ticket.

It's an older park but very fun. Had five in my group and we had a blast. Our favorite was the Alpine Slide. The go carts were pretty fast. They don't let you bump at all. Hard to race when you can't bump. The carts are pretty fast. The Tower was fun. You have to pass the lower Tower in order to ride the tallest tower. My granddaughter had no problem doing both. The water slides are also s lit of fun. The big blue one gets bunched up and pulls away from each drop. It's not as much fun. Then others are great. The lazy river and kids ares was very nice. Lisa is awesome. Helped me change days. Everyone was very nice.

Went on a Tuesday. Great choice as it was hot and not crowded, which helped us distance. Most employees are indifferent, some didn't seem to want to be there, but Ella and the young blond guy at the freefallxl tower made the difference. They seemed more excited to be there than the guests.

Wild Mountain has been a part of our annual vacation since 2000 and even though the kids are now 24, 23 and 20, it is still something we look forward to each year.

The park is always clean and the staff very friendly. The facility is large enough that the kids are never bored and small enough that they could roam without constant supervision.

My daughter was 10 when we first started going and she liked that she was tall enough to ride all the rides without restrictions, inclusive of the go-karts.

The variety of water slides offers something for everyone from floating in the "Lazy River" to the rush of the "Black Hole" and an assortment of other inner tube water slides ensures an enjoyable day will be had by all.

The "Alpine Slide" was something we had never experienced before; imagine a high backed concrete luge track winding through the woods, coming down the mountain on a plastic sled with rollers, and a hand brake. The kids still challenge me every year on the side by side tracks, just be careful not to get airborne on the dip, the resulting "road rash" can be uncomfortable- first aid is available to those who push the limits a little too far. The ski lift chairs that transport the sleds and take you to the mountain top and the start of the Alpine offer a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Two-seaters are available for parents with smaller children

Parking is plentiful as are the picnic tables and food can be either be purchased there or brought in from outside of the park making it an even more affordable way to spend the day.

The children's area offers water activities for toddlers and younger children with a zero depth area and a climbable water activity center that includes a humongous water barrel that periodically dumps its' contents onto the waiting waders below.

We have always purchased the all inclusive super day pass end enjoyed unlimited wet and dry rides but other options are available for those that want to enjoy only the water or dry rides.

We have always gone during the week and the lines have always been manageable unless they had tour buses that day. Their calendar is posted on-line allowing you to avoid the occasional bus load days.

If you are looking for a fun, affordable way to spend the day I highly recommend Wild Mountain Water park.

This was the second visit to Wild Mountain with my eight year old son. Last year, I purchased the unlimited wet/dry ride pass with a coupon from a local gas station. This year, I purchased two passes with a Groupon type deal, and took advantage of their "Free Birthday Pass" for myself. My son is a go-kart fanatic, and Wild Mountain has the shortest height requirement of any go-karts that I could find in Minnesota.

The positive parts about the park are that you don't have to pay to be a spectator, and you are allowed to bring in outside food and beverages. The Alpine slides are cool...dangerous, but cool. Yep, that's about it!

The water park is a joke. The first year that we visited, my son dressed in his swim shorts and shirt...never made it to the water park, as it looked quite boring to him. This year, he took a few rides on the water slides, only because he was so hot!

And for the go karts, my son's favorite part. He goes over and over and over, as I pray and grimace with each ride. First of all, there are several cars with absolutely no traction on the tires. The breaks don't do a thing. Secondly, I had a hard time fastening the seat belt. No, I am not a Skinny Minny, and I am somewhat bigger woman (size 16), but I am not all that huge. Prior to my first ride, I told the attendant that I was having a hard time getting the seat belt to buckle. He was just telling me not to worry about it, as I finally got it fastened. I did several races with my son, each time knowing that I was putting my life, safety, and health in danger. Then there was that final ride.

I was involved in a minor collision with another responsible adult driver. She took a turn too sharp, and I had no breaks to stop. We collided, but it was nothing major. We waited for a minute for the attendant to notice us, and to come and put us in the right direction so that we could continue to race. As he was on his way over, a kart driven by a teenage girl going as fast as she could, slammed in to the back of me. It was not a surprise that I was there, she could have easily gone around us as all of the other karts had done. But no, this girl clearly had no regard for rules or common decency to another human being. I felt my lower back jolt forward, but snap quickly back as a result of the tight seat belt. I immediately began crying and yelling get me off of this thing. The attendant helped me out of the kart, and escorted me to the exit. All the way asking if I was ok, and if there was anything that he could do for me. I declined. The attendant followed protocol, and alerted the manager, Jack. I remained seated on the ground as I allowed my son to continue riding...I really didn't want to ruin his trip. Jack approached me, and began to ask me what happened. I gave him my version of events, and then he began asking me about any preexisting conditions with my lower back. I vaguely answered his question. He asked me if there was anything that he could do for me. I declined. He said that he would check with me again in a few minutes. Finally being annoyed with being bothered, I asked if I could have some ice and Tylenol. His response, "Oh, you need to pay for that at the Snack Bar," and walked away. I had a hard time interpreting that. Did he mean the ice? Did he mean the Tylenol? No offers to assist me with getting either of the item. I made no objection to paying. He did not return. Upon leaving the park, I stopped at the Snack Bar,and purchased the Tylenol and ice. I was in so much pain that night.

Upon returning to the Twin Cities the next day, I stopped at an urgent care, and explained what happened. The doctor confirmed that neither of my previous conditions had been affected, and that there was now a break in my left illiac crest.

I understand that in riding a go kart, I am assuming responsibility and doing so at my own risk...but wow, I have never been anywhere and been told to go buy my own first aid. I wonder if all of the other people who get scraped and burnt on the Alpine Slides are told to go to the Snack Bar to purchase their own band aids. The other thing that bothers me about this whole situation is that it was clear to everyone who had hit me. She was neither banned from the go karts or even reprimanded for her belligerence.

We will NEVER return to Wild Mountain, and if you do...make sure that you bring your own first aid, and have great health insurance. Clearly, all the manager Jack is concerned about, is how he can make more money off of the patrons.

My kids went to the park and got super-scraped up! My daughter is crying and in a lot of pain. It was overpriced and unsafe! Save yourselves the pain and protect your kids from this disaster!

All 4 of my kids (myself included) were very disappointed when we left. We had fun for the first 3 hours, but toward the end when it was extemely busy, they started shutting down the waterslides without us knowing. I spoke with the manager and he just told me that he's the manager and that's his call if he wants to close early. Even though their websit says open until 8pm. I paid a lot of money to stay all day and the kids had their favorite ride saved for the end but instead didn't get to go on it and we went home with tears. I even gave a suggestion to announce when you're going to close a ride early and he just said he's never done that before so it's not necessary. Well, it is necessary to keep your customers happy and stay open until you're suppose to be open. Maybe some customer service classes are in order.

Came here for my fiancee's birthday in august. We have came here in the past and had a very fun time. There is a nice little water play area for kids by the lazy river. We assumed that because there was a kiddie pool it would be heated. Sadly it is not. We brought our 6 mo old with us along with my fiancee's parents who were going to sit with my daughter and play. It was so freezing that we couldn't even walk through the water without getting goose bumps. We were going to ride the go karts beings every water activity left you freezing cold. The young men working with go karts were rude and very immature. They were yelling at little kids for no reason and calling people names. They picked and choose what groups could go around the track multiple times. When it got to be our turn after the employees ignoring us for 15 mins we were going to go on a two seater. They did not check to make sure we were all seat belted in and told every to "just go" we sat there fumbling with our seat belt they yelled at us to forget about the seat belt and go. Going back to the building to grab our towels we could not open our locker finally the girl at she counter got it to open then of course it would not lock she said she was going to grab her manager to listen to our horrible experience at this place. Waiting waiting waiting for a manager to come for 20 mins we get sick of waiting and leave. Never going back there.

Dear Madgab13, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience when you last came. You are correct, the water in the little kiddie park is not heated, but all of the other water is kept at 80 degrees. I will be sure to show your review to all of our mgmt and employees so, we can learn from our mistakes. That is not how we want anyone's day to go. Wild Mountain is typically a fun, happy place to be. I hope that you will decide to visit us again. I'm confident that you will enjoy your next visit. Sincerely, Amy Frischmon

on July 28 2017 me and my family went wild mountain and on our last round of alpine sliding when my mom and cousin went on a double and went on a high turn and their sled flipped over once the sled stopped they walked down.My cousin came down with a few minor wounds but my mom came with many wounds. The first aid was not well trained they said the injuries were minor and to leave them open but it was a second and first degree burn and they were infected.I don't recommend the alpine slide although we enjoyed go karting and waterpark.
