A friend and I stopped here while we were in the area. It is located at a house on a hill so you have to do a bit of walking from the parking lot. It was a live music day and it was fabulous sitting out on the patio with the music and a glass of wine. The wine was very good! We were disappointed that they had run out of wood fire pizza for the day but just an excuse to go back at some point :) Loved the atmosphere and it seemed like a place for all ages. Will be back!

For MN grapes, Wild Mountain produces some pretty good wine. We bought 2 bottles of ice wine. The ambiance of the tasting room is quite basic and the presentation is low key. It was busy tho, so that was nice. Meat and cheese tray is locally produced and served with a knife, so u cut your own which I think is pretty neat. The pizza oven was closed for the season.

I bought a Groupon for two tastings, a cheese plate, and two glasses of wine. I paid $22 and the value would have been $35, so it wasn't a bad deal. We didn't realize how far away it was from the Twin Cities or even from the little downtown of Taylor Falls. It was a solid 8-12 minutes from the downtown. It was a cute set up with very pretty vineyards. There was live folk/rock cover music that was excellent. A lot of people were sitting outside, enjoying the last few days of fall. I'm a little surprised a single tasting is $8. In true wine regions, tastings are almost always complimentary. If not, I really don't think it should have been more than $5, especially because they were small pours. We were also a little annoyed because they asked us to move away from the bar for the wine tasting. I can say I've easily been to over 100 vineyards and never been told this, and she was a little rude. Despite these issues, the wine was excellent. Apparently it's been in business for 30 years or so, which is impressive considering there was not a lot of wine grown in the Midwest at this time. I was impressed with their dry wines. They were fresh and full-bodied. The gift shop was also adorable, and the bottles of wine were cheap and we got 20% off for a case, which is the best deal I've heard of. Definitely worth going to if in the St Croix River Valley. I think it's open in the winter too.

During a beautiful Fall drive through the country, my husband and I noticed the sign on the side of the road and decided to stop. We're so glad we did. Quaint tasting room that opens to a beautiful patio area on warmer days....knowledgeable and friendly servers....with sixteen different wines/hard ciders to try. We enjoyed the wine tasting experience, and had a hard time choosing our favorites! Seems like a multi-generational family business, and all staff were welcoming. Stop by- you'll be glad you did :)
