The drive from Kingscote to Cape Willoughby was mainly over gravel road. We arrived to find the lighthouse closed so we could only walk around the grounds. A stone's throw away is the Zest and Thyme cafe where we had a good lunch.
After enduring a 45 minute odd road drive we were ready to receive some hospitality in this remote part of Kangaroo Iskand and were not disappointed.
The lighthouse historical sraff were friendly and helpful offering the conducted tour at about 50 bucks a head.
Staff were very friendly, explaining things about the area. The museum was informative, and good photos. We were unable to go into the lighthouse - missed the last tour. Walked around the grounds only. The cafe was closed.
We visited the light house on a Wednesday and unfortunately for us the place was closed. We were disappointed that we couldn't get a tour, the gate leading to the lighthouse was also closed so couldn't get near the lighthouse at all.
