Even in the winter, you can find a great place to visit and see the fish. No tour guide needed - just jump in and look!

Hire a kayak and spend the day at Wavebreak Island (or hitch a ride with a boatie you know). Tranquil blue waters, it's a unique coastal eco system on land and sea. Hang out with the wildlife - dolphins, stingrays, reptiles, wallabies, native birds and colourful sub-tropical fish.
A visit really is an amazing day out and one of the best kept secrets on the Coast. It is an unspoilt haven in one of the most developed parts of Australia. You feel like you are on a tropical island in some remote part of the country, but you are only an easy paddle to the mainland.

Turtles, fish, beaches and bliss! This is a gem of a public and community space and needs to be preserved forever for this city. Paddle by kayak or pilot your tinny to get there, you can stand up paddle there on calm days. It's a true gem of a place to have on the doorstep of a city.
