This free zoo was an amazing experience with our kids. The animals were active and fun to watch. My son had a blast at como town right outside the zoo, which is like a small amusement park for kids. This is a must for families with children when visiting the area.

Looking for a change of pace from the Mall Of America this is a perfect place to enjoy. Smaller size zoo but you can spend alot of watching the different animals. We specially enjoyed the primates, orangutan, and gorilla forest we must of spend 30 minutes or more just watching. After our 4 year old granddaughter was done with the... More

The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory has always been a nice place, but due to extensive remodeling over the last several years, it is now a very great place indeed. I love going there because you will have a wonderful time, it is free, they have polar bears! and you can be in and out in an hour or two... More

Como Park is just the right size and has the right amount of animals for kids to enjoy the zoo. My family enjoys the zoo several times during the summer.

Nicer habitats than 50 years ago, but parts of it seem unkempt/overgrown with prickly weeds growing next to the path where a toddler could venture. The conservatory is a great place to visit in a Minnesota winter. Nice mini golf course.

We visit Como Zoo a few times a year. The zoo part is the perfect amount to see with a young child and for my pre-teens. Bring a small mirror for the monkeys, some enjoy looking at themselves, some are attracted to the reflection. If your kids like the rides, I'd suggest going to Como Town at about 4:00pm. They... This is one of St. Paul's gems. It's been around for a long time (I remember class trips here when I was a child). It's improved greatly since then. In recent years there's been many upgrades. The Conservatory is a fabulous place to go on cold winter days. You feel like you're in the tropics. The zoo is quieter in... More

Our favorite place to go for a fun time with our toddler, friends, and family during the year. It is free to the public with a suggested donation. Lots of varieties to please just about anyone from large to small Zoo Animals, plants, flowers, Japanese Garden, Como Town amusement park, Carousel, and outdoor garden/pond. There's a small restaurant/cafe for food,... More

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The zoo is smaller than the MN Zoo but it is just the right size to keep little busy bodies occupied while not being too overwhelming.
