There is plenty for the whole family from age 1 to 100+ to do at the fair. it is very handicap accessible. There are strollers, scooters, and wheel chairs available to rent. Those interested in crafts and fine arts have plenty to explore. It is the first thing that I head off to see, then the animal barns, Machinery Hill,... More

Always lots to see & do at the state fair. I don't think there is any way to see, do & eat it all in a day ! You will need good walking shoes & a fat wallet! I saw lots of ATMs and bathrooms. The grandstand has many popular bands. There are also stages throughout the grounds with free... More

I have lost count of all the different State Fairs we have been to. The MN State Fair is by far the best we have ever attended. There is something for everyone in the family and could spend days there and not get to all you want to see.

Lots to do here during the state fair. Visted the education building, fine arts building and the pet center. Walked around the newer area called the West End which had some interesting shops. Usual fair food available and hardly a healthy snack in sight. A few places like French Meadow Bakery and Hot Indian foods had good vegetarian choices.

The fair is one of the best, if not the best, fairs in the USA! There is a large variety of things to see and do depending on one's interests. I highly recommend you go, especially if you have never been.

What an AWESOME time...there's something for everyone! Love the Minnesota State Fair...It's so much fun and entertainment... you can see cute baby animals, get cultured at the art exhibition, there's free exercise...I always take part in the free Zumba class offered at various times, and there's awesome music and dancing! Oh... and the food! So much interesting fun foods available...... More

Love the fair - a Beergarita is a must- lefse from the food building! A pitch black ride on Ye Olde Mill. Went twice this year! Baby animals, amazing raptor show, fiddling contest and so much more. Great people watching. More food than you can shake a stick at! Mancini's sausage on a stick was delicious. Ended with Bonnie Raitt... More

The Great Minnesota Get Together is the best state fair. The food, especially the food on a stick, gets most of the attention but don't miss out on the shopping, entertainment, animals, and exhibits. If you don't like crowds arrive by 8 AM and leave early afternoon or go on a rainy day!

The Minnesota State Fair is just one of those annual events that you shouldn't miss! It might be just a little cheesy, with all the animal exhibitions, and competition for homemade food and sewing, but it is the quintessential Midwest exhibition. I don't know how anybody can go and not entertain themselves. Try some food that you have never eaten... More
