We didn't know it but tours are only available on Wednesday. We went on Thursday. The grounds are incredible enough to give 5 stars but we would have LOVED to see the inside of the house.

This was my first visit inside the Plummer House. The grounds, the exterior, even the holiday decorations were STUNNING. But, immediately upon entering the interior, I wanted to find a place where I could volunteer my services to make the place shine and look like it probably did in its grand days. I know that it's probably very difficult to... More

Based on other reviews we stopped here, looking forward to seeing the house. There wasn't any signage to show people where to go, and at the front door of the house there was a sign saying something like "Closed to the public--guests only." So we wandered around the grounds a little--they were pleasant, but nothing special.

We were leisurely driving around the area looking at the houses and saw a sign for a vintage sale at Plummer House. Followed the signs and went inside to look and bought a few items to help the cause. Did not get to see the whole house or have a tour, but liked what we saw. Wish they would have... More

The grounds of this historic home are a joy to walk through or stop a while and just relax. The lower garden has a waterfall with a small pool at the bottom and an expanse of green lawn surrounded by trees and flowers to immerse yourself in the quiet and calm. The upper grounds are just as wonderful with large,... More
