This is an unusual venue that gives travelers an insight into how manufacturing has changed the life of a town and its people. All of the docents are locals attached to this pottery museum that closed in 1967.

Toured the museum and had a very nice time. They have examples from a variety of styles and many stoneware crocks. The museum is staffed and they are readily available to answer any questions. The gift shop is small, but they had some nice pieces...More

They have a nice collection of the entire history of this pottery in red wing. Very nice overview. We just wish the gift shop had some available to buy...just down the road, an old warehouse store had a bunch for sale.

Fabulous history of the pottery of the past. Absolutely worth the visit. Takes you back to the pottery you saw as a kid.

All things produced by Red Wing Potteries before they went out of business in 1967. Beautifully displayed w/accompanying history and documentation. Great gift shop! This is a MUST see!

Don't skip this if you are at all intriqued. Small kids would probably be bored but the collection is very interesting and the volunteers will share interesting tidbits with you.

The museum is very interesting and it has a lot of pottery to share. The gift shop was also fun! We bought a few very nice items and the staff was so nice!

This is a great place for breakfast or a casual lunch. My eggs were not over cooked and the hash browns were crispy like I prefer. Our server was friendly, enthusiastic, and timely. Also a great place for a family breakfast. Now I'm hungry and...More

Small parts of it are. You would not get a sense of the whole experience. You may want to check to see if they have an elevator though, we didn't notice any but that doesn't there isn't one.
