We stopped briefly and there are thousands of pieces of pottery there to peruse. There was guides there if you wanted to learn more about the history and pieces. Nicely displayed , clean and a small gift shop.

I knew nothing about pottery before I visited so it was a learning experience. It was very interesting to see the change in pottery and function over the years. It started as functional large jugs and crocks and ended up over time with beautiful, hand painted dinnerware. They are supported from donations and their giftshop. The guides are excellent.

The museum covered pottery from several companies during the history of Red Wing displayed in large glass cases. The sizes of the crocks was amazing, and while I don't get into the 20th century styles and glazes, it's interesting to view. Donation requested.

Lots of pottery, lots of history behind the pottery and some pottery for sale. Nice quick stop after visiting other places in town.

We stopped in to the Red Wing pottery museum while in the area. It was free to enter, but they were asking for donations.

They had a lot of pottery, crocks, and dishware on display.

We were blown away at the beauty of the artistic dishes, decorative and historic Red Wing Pottery piece.! The collections were so well organized and labeled by years. You could look in the sales room for the dishes , vases, art pieces you like..then go into the
Museum with beautifully displayed similar items, labeled with the year. We spent an hour enjoying and purchasing art pieces with history. Cool old room vignets from the early 1900s and the 50s. Giant 100 year old crocks and other history of Red Wing Pottery. Comfortable fresh remodelled building with clean bathrooms and places to sit too!

Cute place to stop and pass some time and look at some of the beautiful pottery! Gift shop was a little too pricey for me though.

The Pottery Museum of Red Wing was an excellent stop on a trip in the area. The facility is well laid out, and informative about the history of the company. It also has a shop selling Red Wing Pottery products, donated to the museum by collectors.

I am truly sorry this great Pottery closed, but i am thrilled that they kept the place as a museum.

I have many pieces from years of visits and it is impressive seeing the history. I still have bowls and plate i use nearly every day. Watch for old pieces at estate sales. The museum is friendly and attractive.
