After having visited as a family last summer my teenage son asked if we could take him and his friends for his birthday. Our guide, Melissa, was wonderful at encouraging some pretty hesitant young teens to make their way successfully through the course. It was also fun to watch all of them encourage and cheer on one another, strengthening their friendships and building a support system amongst themselves that will hopefully carry through to them helping and supporting one another through the challenges they will face in the coming High School years.

We took a large group of adult mentors and the kids that they mentor to the challenge course for some team builders and some high ropes experiences. Our kids ranged in age from 10-17. These are all kids from dysfunctional, low income, unstable homes. What a great experience.. They were pushed out of there comfort zones, but encouraged to the max. They left with more confidence then they came with. They learned to rely on and trust others, something these kids really lack. They worked in teams and were an important member of the team. They learned that even the adults had some serious fear and learned to play the role of cheerleader and encourager as they helped their adult mentors overcome their fears. Great experience. Highly recommend.

We forgot to make a reservation but when we showed up with a group of 7, they moved mountains to fit us in, so thankful for their generosity and willingness to accommodate our group. The leaders were incredibly patient and really empowered members of our group to step outside of their comfort zone. The Character Challenge Course is a wonderful experience for people of all ages.

Our family , from 6 to 68, made the C-4 event a very rewarding experience. My 6 year old grandson was able to do every obstacle with confidence and spunk. Grandma set the example that every person needs to push themselves to do things out of their comfort zone. The C-4 team stressed safety and teamwork. All ten KIDS were ready to do it again. Thank you

We brought our summer staff for an afternoon of fun, teambuilding and enjoying the outdoors. The staff at Character Challenge Course were very friendly and supportive and helped our staff develop better team work and encouragement. They also helped some of our staff overcome some personal fears. We highly reccommend Character Challenge Course.

Travis and his staff were so helpful and accommodating. Our group had the best time experiencing every feeling possible! It was fun to see the encouragement the teens gave each other and over come their fears and state some goals. This is the best teamworking activity! Thank you for everything...Can't wait to come back!

We had a great time on the Challenge Course, Evan was a spectacular guide, patiently guiding our 7 and 5 year old children through the course, encouraging them and getting them over their reluctance. Thank you Evan (and Tory)- you guys were great!
As for the rest of the experience, it also was well done. From checking in and charging us the base package to make sure we accomplished everything before upgrading to the Extreme, to the safety and quality of the course, everything was good.

The course itself is thrilling and fantastic. But the owners and staff are what make this place absolutely incredible. We booked a school event. They were excellent to work with. Accommodating, professional, flexible, and gracious. The students came away with new life skills, deepened friendships, and renewed confidence and faith. This is a well-run business. You will not be disappointed.

We worked this into our vacation and they accommodated us even when we didn't have a reservation. Timing worked out in our favor. The staff was personable and encouraging, and was very thorough when reviewing safety items. Our kids aged 19 down to 8 all had a great time. We'd do it again for sure.

Our group included 4 adults and a 9-year old. He was a little scared and went slowly through the course, but really enjoyed the zip line. Our guides were great! Very professional. Place was clean, safe. All around a great experience! We just did the basic course - that was enough for us!

I am pretty terrified of heights, but I am interested in joining my adrenaline junkie friend so she won't have to do this alone for her birthday. Should I do the high ropes course? How do you get UP to the platforms - ladders? I assume you have safety straps on at all times, even when climbing up to the platforms?

Hi Ashley, I also struggle with heights and have a horrible sense of balance... and we do this ropes course as part of our youth trip team building each year... so yeah... I totally understand your hesitation... the good news is that the staff at the Character Challenge course is VERY encouraging... they don't make you do something you don't want to, but are very positive, supportive, and helpful! I seriously have a great sense of accomplishment every time I complete the course!
You climb up to the platforms using a ladder and then large U shaped pegs sticking out our the tree... they are very secure... you are ALWAYS hooked into a harness and safety line... honestly you have a better chance of falling just walking to the course then you do once your on it... I have always felt very safe there and part of that was the two lock system they use... you clip attaching you to the safety rope has two sides, one of which is always locked.. you can't unclip from one line without first being clipped into the next one, and it's a really simple system...
Honestly this is a beautiful course, your up in the pines, and it's very safe... you are a long way up, but you can't fall more then about 3 inches and the staff is great. Hope this help and if you go I hope you have a great time!

Our group had an 8 year old and a 10 year old the instructors are terrific and will work with the younger children and of course you will be with the children. Our group loved it.
