Fun and relaxing place to visit.

This lake is a reclaimed gravel pit. I hear the fishing can decent. I just like to hangout here the my 5 year old grandson throwing rocks.

I am in a touring band so this was an awesome little stop off to chill and swim for the afternoon. Really nice little beach and lake. Weather was great. There were a few kids swimming but all in all it was very quiet and peaceful. There is also a nice little grass park area. The water was pretty warm... More

Great little lake attached to a good walking path, You can take a kid to fish, walk the dog , there is even a swimming beach as well. Facilities are available , and plenty of shade trees / picnic tables for picnics. If you go out on the north doc you can always see fish swimming in the water .... More

This park offers canoeing, fishing, ice fishing, swimming, play ground, walking trails, and picnic grounds. Great place to bring the family for a fun day.

Our 7 year old really enjoyed fresh water fishing for the first time off of the dock here. He caught a bunch of sunnys and had a great time. It's not a great big lake, nor one I'd swim in now that I'm an adult, but it's pretty, and nice to have water in town.

My family had our reunion here. The grounds are clean, over all. There are decent picnic tables but there are only a couple of grills so bring your own, if you can. There is a beach to swim but there is no lifeguard on duty. The restrooms are ok. The township should organize organizations to help maintain the beauty and... More

We went once end of season last year and once this year so far and we just LOVE it!! It is by FAR the cleanest 'lake' I've ever seen. You can see to the bottom. Beautiful big beach, Huge swimming area, nice soft sand bottom, no weeds.....clean clean clean!! No life guards so people had floats and stuff. Nice play... More

I take my dogs to Kohlmier to walk. It's barely used Fall, Winter, and Spring during the week. Its also connected to a bike/walking trail, including one that goes 3/4 of the way around the lake. Nice beach, but I wouldn't swim passed June. Gets a little murky.

This year is way better than last year! Last year (2011) there were lifegaurds who wouldn't let us do anything and there was goose poop EVERYWHERE. But this year we were pleasantly surprised to find NO life guards and NO goose poop. Yay! We swam for hours each day we went. We could use our floaties and not get yelled... More

Owatonna is the only city in Minnesota that doesn't have a lake, or so we told by our realtor, a native. This "lake" is a joke. It is more of a pond. One side is the "beach" where kids can't run around or splash or scream: things kids naturally do when having fun. If you're looking for a lake in... More
