This is a lovely park to walk in with large, towering trees. It is great for cross-country skiing. However, there is nothing spectacular! There are some camping cabins and Indian burial mounds. There is also a small lake for canoeing.

The camping sites were quite a distance from the parking and it didn't look like we could fish there.. maybe for horse riding it would be good but we were surprised at the park. A nice picnic area.

Many easy hiking trails and lots of beautiful water all year round. Warning: horses are allowed on some trails. So watch there you step. Because there is a lot of water, it can get buggy in the summer.

Great quiet spot for a mini adventure. We went to a backpack camp spot right by the lake. There were a few hills and it had rained quite a bit the night before we arrived, but we made the 3/4 mile hike to our spot...More

The Big Woods hike is a very nice, 5.5 mile loop through the park. I was expecting the area to be relatively flat, but was surprised with all the hills throughout the trail. The trail takes you through and nicely forested area passing by quite...More
