Top Notch Escape Room! I can’t say enough good things. Loved that there was enough room to move about, rooms were creative and the theme was so clever. Seriously if you are looking for a fun way to spend some time in Minneapolis/Saint Paul this is it.

You can totally feel the touch of the creators and the staff with the clues and puzzles. SO CREATIVE! Something for everyone in the group!

The designs & props in each room created an immersive atmosphere. As people who've been to numerous escape rooms it was an unexpected but pleasant surprise to be challenged by new puzzles. Our game master Brian brought an amazing energy to each room's pre-hype; along with engaging in a way that maintained the theme of each room. Especially the undercover agent in the It's all Fun & Games room. Look forward to returning when new rooms come into play.

We did the Witchcraft Alley experience a few weeks ago and had fun, a little complicated at times but there isn't a limit on clues which is nice. We were able to finish....just not in 60 minutes...ha ha. Since the room wasn't booked for a anyone after us and I think we were the only family there on a Sunday night, he let us finish the game, going over a bit at 72 minutes which was awesome of him and greatly appreciated.

I visited Trapped with my work and had tons of fun. As a result, I decided to bring some of the folx that I oversee to Trapped a few weeks later. Since we were looking to get a group discount, I attempted to set the reservation over the phone. Unfortunately, I ended up leaving multiple voicemails, and have not received a call-back. It's tough to know if we are confirmed without hearing back.

Went with a couple friends and did the Eternity Battle sequel room. We had a great time solving it! The puzzles were fun and inventive, and some of the solutions weren't just fun to solve but actually fun to do. Big shout-out to our game master CeCe! They were delightful and created and a great atmosphere. I also really enjoyed how many puzzles required cooperation outside of just two minds being better than one.
10/10 will be back!!

Trapped Puzzle Rooms currently has 3 rooms at their location in Minneapolis and the one we did was called The Library. I did this room with 4 other people (2 teens & 2 adults) and everyone had a great time! We finished in 25 minuets which placed us at 2nd place on the leader board. I would highly recommend this escape room for both teens and adults. It is a great way to promote teamwork within a group. Even though you can have 8 people in a room, I would recommend having less than that because any more than 5 people just makes it more chaotic. If you do want to do this with a larger group you can goto their St.Paul location which has a spy vs spy escape room where there are 2 identical rooms and your group gets split into two team in order to compete against each other at the same time.

This is by far the best Escape Room I've done, and me and my friends have done everything in the cities and a bunch on the east coast. The puzzles are just as challenging as places like Escape MSP, but the theming is done so much better! Trapped actually has cohesive themes for their rooms. And it's the cheapest one in town. Can't wait for them to finish their third space!

I've done escape rooms at a few different locations in the Twin Cities and this one is my least favorite. They did warn us in the beginning that it's less of a scavenger hunt and more focused on the puzzles, which is certainly true. But my issue is that the puzzles aren't especially well-explained, even if you discover all of the clues meant to explain them. Without spoiling the room, I'll just say that some of the puzzles require you to make assumptions and logical leaps that aren't necessarily intuitive, and some of the codes provided to help crack the clues aren't especially clear.

If your main goal is to play to "win" (escape), this may be a good option for you. A friend who has been before said that the escape rate is more than 90% and that the philosophy at Trapped is that it's more fun for everyone if you do well, so they're generous with hints to help you get out quickly.

The studio apartment was challenging with so few eyes but we were able to get out and escape only a couple minutes late. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The puzzles were challenging but for a first time and second time (me) puzzle solver the room was achievable. We will definitely be looking to go back and complete the spooky room and library.
Also, these puzzle rooms take place in an pre-1900's to early 1900's house which add to the ambiance.

Great puzzle rooms--we did the "Apartment" and had so much fun we came back for the "Library". Well set up and a lot of fun. Clues are very clever and make you think. 100o times better than the Riddle Room (for any of you that have done that one and been scared off from other puzzle rooms). Get a group and do it--you won't regret it.
