We rode the Hoppy Trolley for a bachelorette party. Kevin drove us to three breweries of our choosing, treated us to a free beer, and provided delicious pretzels from Aki's! The whole party had a blast, Kevin was very knowledgeable about all of the breweries we went to, and let us play our own music. Professional, easy to organize with. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were in Minneapolis for a wedding and wanted to go on some craft brewery tours and came across the Hoppy Trolley in our research. It is priced very reasonably compared to similar offerings. Kevin, our driver was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the city. He used to be a Minneapolis tour guide and shared info on the sites around town on our tour. The breweries he picked for the tour were spot on. I highly recommend the Hoppy Trolley

Hoppy Trolley provided the best birthday party experience for my husband this past weekend! If you are looking for a birthday party idea for your man, be sure to schedule a party with Hoppy Trolley! I organized a private tour including 10 close friends, and all of them of were so pleased with Hoppy Trolley’s service during our five-hour tour.

To get started, Michelle from Hoppy Trolley helped me select four great breweries for our tour: Harriet Brewery, Fulton, Indeed and Bauhaus. She shared a list of nearly 20 breweries to pick from, so they will truly let you customize your experience or select from all of the breweries in town. They were also very accommodating of the date and time – we scheduled our private tour on a Saturday afternoon from 4 – 8 pm, and it worked perfectly. The van is perfect for Minnesota weather – it has heat and air conditioning since you never know what you will get! We did a pedal pub a few years ago, and that was fun, but it is very dependent on the weather. In this case, we enjoyed the outdoor patios of the breweries when the sun was out then we drove in our warm van when the sun was down. I recommend this type of tour over the pedal pubs – you also get to go to fun breweries vs. bars.

Kevin was our driver and tour guide. He did an excellent job serving our group – he balanced when to provide information and when to let the group just enjoy the experience. He also was very funny and fit well into the group. Moreover, Kevin went above and beyond by driving us all the way back to our first brewery when I realized I left my husband’s birthday cake in my car. This issue delayed our tour by 20 minutes, but Kevin insisted that his schedule was flexible and he could stay longer if needed. Our entire tour went over by 45 minutes as a result, and Kevin was very accommodating. In fact, I think he would have even hosted us longer if needed. I really appreciated his flexibility and accommodation.

The tour includes one free drink at one of the breweries along with one gourmet pretzel. These were great additions! Some tours offer free drinks at all of the stops, but those tours are much more expensive as a result. One free drink worked well for our group because some individuals were pregnant and not drinking, and others just didn’t want to drink that much beer. With this program, people can buy or share more if they want it or they can just get one drink if that is all they want.

In terms of food, the breweries encourage you to order or bring in food if they do not serve it. This worked well for our party because we could eat whenever and whatever we wanted. We had Blacksheep Pizza delivered at our second stop. It was delish! I also brought with snacks (trail mix, chips, candy, birthday cake) that we dug into at each brewery. There were food trucks at every brewery so folks could buy more food if they wanted it (no one did).

In the end, this experience felt like we were hosting a party at our own house since we could provide our own food, but we got to visit four different breweries in the process. It was a great event, and my husband simply loved celebrating his birthday this way!

We had a good time on the Hoppy Trolley. Andrew was a great driver, quick to answer any questions we had about the places we visited and even checked the tap lists prior to stopping, giving us a heads up on what was available and making suggestions based on our preferences. The tour bus also had salty snacks and cold water, which was really nice. I definitely recommend this tour if you don't know which breweries in the Twin Cities to check out.

We booked a private tour for my husband's 30th birthday. There was a lot of communication before the event, I was never left hanging waiting for a response to a question. It was nice being able to customize our tour to visit breweries that we hadn't been to yet.

I do wish that more information would have been available up front when I booked, like how and when payment would be expected/accepted, the order of the breweries we were attending, etc. I had done a little footwork of contacting the breweries we had chosen to find out if they would have a food truck or not, and since it was winter some of them didn't. So having the order would have been nice to be able to tell our guests when and where they could expect food to be available.

I didn't need much guidance because I had done my own research, but it would have been nice for guidance and advice to be offered more readily and earlier without asking.

The week before our event I updated our party to be a larger group, but I don't think that was clearly communicated to our driver as he was surprised when we were loading the bus that we had reached their group maximum of fourteen people.

Our guest of honor had a wonderful time, as did all of our group. It was nice being able to place the worry of driving, timing, etc on someone else so that I could also relax and enjoy the day.

Thank you for taking us safely to three different breweries around Minneapolis. The night we went we met at 56 Brewery and went to 3 more. He provides a token at each brewery, if you purchase the beer option, to get a pint at the breweries (some may be a small flght). He takes a photo of the group at each brewery, which if you follow on social media, you will appreciate later.

I had so much fun on the Hoppy Trolley! My favorite part was Kevin's stories about the local area. We went to 4 breweries which was a nice surprise because it was 1 more than I thought. We met great people along the way and got to know the area a little more. I would highly recommend the Hoppy Trolley. The website is easy to use and the experiance was great!

I have been on several tours with the Hoppy Trolley, and have yet to have anything less than a great time. Kevin does a wonderful job detailing the history of Northeast Minneapolis between stops and give suggestions for beers to try at each place. I have booked the trolley for two bachelorette parties, and Kevin was easy to communicate with and made sure everything went smoothly. I will be back again.
