The real attraction is the chain of lakes in Minneapolis that is one of the nations best urban parks. The Calhoun Bridge connects Lake Calhoun and Lake of the Isles. It is a good way to avoid car traffic.

Best about Mpls is the chain of lakes. Used to live a block from this bridge. Used to go running around Lake of the Isles regularly. Food shopping at Kinds on Lake Street. Movies at the Uptown, breakfast at the Uptown Bar (no longer exists)....More

Seriously, this is just a bridge with a terribly narrow pedestrian and cycling path. It offers a semi decent view of the lake but and protection to homeless people who sleep underneath it.

You have it all at this location - beautiful lakes- 3 to which you can canoe or bicycle or just swim at Calhoun. The Tin Fish where you may rent kayaks, canoes, paddle boats etc. and have a great lunch. The midtown greenway right there...More
